  1. Here’s what mine said - “Students must submit this declaration to us within 10 days from the date of this letter.”
  2. I can make one right now and I’ll send it here! Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/groups/647887289830878/?ref=share
  3. Does anyone know if there has been a facebook group created for admitted students? I haven't found one so I was curious! I will be relocating from 16 hours away so I will definitely be looking for housing and roommates.
  4. I never received an email, I just kept checking my portal and saw that there was an update!
  5. I got in for PMHNP, I am going to message you!! ?
  6. I found it very conversational and my interviewers were both so friendly! I interviewed for PMHNP. They mainly discussed the GEP year and asked how I could handle an accelerated format, and then the rest was why PMHNP and so on. They also asked me about potential DNP project topics of interest so that is good to have in the back of your mind! Other than the project topic question I found it to be very similar to my interviews with other programs!
  7. In last years forum I read that it comes separately, so don’t lose hope! I haven’t heard anything yet either. ?
  8. I don't mind at all! Looking forward to hearing from you ? We have until March 14th to accept!
  9. I just received mine as well and am strongly considering! What specialty did you apply to?
  10. Has anyone heard anything about financial aid or scholarships yet? In an email I got 1/2 they had said scholarships would be sent out around mid January, so I am just curious to see if anyone has heard or not!
  11. Just to go off of it for anyone who wants to see the price, they just told me "For 4 years it would roughly be around 165,400 before aid."
  12. Thank you! I thought this too but they actually just got back to me today, here is the response “The subsequent years will be billed as GSN Graduate Entry Program tuition and fees- $40,451. It is subject to increase yearly by 1.5%.”
  13. That's awesome! I am waiting on BC and Vanderbilt. Unfortunately UPenn waitlisted me.
  14. Has anyone been able to figure out the cost of the program? The tuition and fees site is a bit confusing. For the PMHNP program which is 121 credits, when calculating by credit, the total cost is $109,364. But, on another part of the website it gave me the GEP yearly cost of $40,451, which when multiplied by 4 comes to $161,804. Since there is a $50,000 difference I was curious to see if anyone had any answers or had heard about the total cost. I am just trying to compare the pricing to my other program options.
  15. BC, UMass Med, and Northeastern for MA, and then Yale, UPenn, and Vanderbilt! I will probably stay in New England!
  16. Psych mental health! What programs did you apply to?
  17. Great, thank you! Best of luck. What specialty did you apply for?
  18. Oh that sounds great! Thank you ? I'm glad to see others are wondering the same!
  19. No worries! Congratulations again!
  20. Congratulations on your acceptance. What specialty did you apply for? They had extended the direct entry DNP deadline to December 15th and no longer required GRE scores as well. Maybe I will shoot them an email. On the website it still says 11/15 deadline, but they had sent many emails saying 12/15 was the new deadline due to the change with the GRE scores.
  21. Hi! The deadline was December 15th for the Summer 2022 cohort. Were there some interviews beforehand? And acceptances are already out? Sorry just wanted some clarification, since I have not heard anything!
  22. I ended up emailing admissions and they said 3.5! Another question - any idea when decisions will come out since the deadline had been extended?
  23. A current student posted this on last year's thread, so I think I will prepare based off of this! 1.) why do you want to be in this program (and sub track) at UMass? Why not MGH or MCPHS? 2.) What experiences made you prepared for this experience (it is rather intense)? How are you disciplined? 3.) (the tricky one) Have you ever not done well in a particular course or assignment and what did you do to overcome this? Explain with examples on your ability to be resilient or overcome adversity in an academic setting. 4.) Research your interview members before hand and integrate it into your interview. For example, I noticed that my interviewers published an article on getting jobs post graduation. I asked them to explain this article in a way it was relevant to my question (Do GEP/NP students get jobs easily?) 5.) Know a potential DNP topic of interest. Mine was working with Veterans in an acute care setting. It shows that you are thinking long-term and know what might interest you (fully knowing that could change). 6.) Lastly, I’ll include to think about your support systems and how you will utilize them. An example would be peers if you start to struggle (many do) or going to the professor for study strategies.
  24. I just got an email for an interview for next week, and it looks they are interviewing through the last week in January, so I assume decisions won't be until February.
  25. Hi! Do you guys know exactly how many years the Direct Entry DNP takes? I have 3.5 years written down for some reason but can't find that anywhere.
