  1. Has anyone who applied to Mission hospital notice that their portal has changed to state “RN I Resident - Unit of choice” but still has not heard back from recruiter? Mine updated yesterday but I never heard from my recruiter. I have reached out a few times but wasn’t able to get connected. Hope this is a good sign but would be nice to get some feedback ?
  2. I just noticed that my submission on the portal said “completed” it was updated yesterday. Fingers crossed ?
  3. I am very curious to know. Have you heard of anyone else applying to ED?
  4. Okay cool! I emailed the recruiter today and she said they are tying up the final interviews this week and decisions will be made some time next week!
  5. That’s awesome! Congrats! Thank you for the update:))
  6. I haven’t yet. They said they would be interviewing for 2-3 weeks and I should anticipate hearing back sometime before Thanksgiving. seems like a long time to interview but I also haven’t heard of anyone applying to the ED hearing back yet. Still patiently waiting:) fingers crossed ?
  7. Congrats! I applied to the Emergency Department.
  8. Hi applied to the ED last week. It was about 45 mins long…I was told they will be conducting interviews for the next few weeks and we should be hearing back before thanks giving.
  9. A few were questions were tell me about a time, but there was also a “what does “blank” mean to you.
  10. Yes 6 questions and a case study. They pull up the case study to review for 5 minutes and then answer two questions. The good thing is the questions are also on the screen so as you’re reviewing you can also prepare your answer.
  11. Truthfully, I wasn’t able to give them that background that really brings your resume to life. And since they never asked me I felt that wasn’t what they were interested so I really stuck with the questions and tried my best to include to pieces of who I was in my responses. Honestly, it could be they just missed that question I’m assuming every interviewer might be a little different.
  12. Your very welcome. I was actually surprised because most interviews start out with the typical “tell us about yourself..” however this one didn’t. The first question for me was if I was still in school and if I was licensed.
  13. I feel like it’s definitely worth it to mention why as your ranking even if it’s a quick reason. I ranked Emergency Department and ICU as my top:))
  14. Hi I noticed there isn’t a forum started for the Long Beach Memorial New Grad program starting in January 2022. I interviewed last week for the Emergency Department and wanted to see if anyone else has interviewed or plan to interview this month. I was told if offered a position I would hear back from Recruitment sometime before Thanksgiving. Good luck to everyone!!
  15. I was given a chance to rank my top three units however I wasn’t able to explain why and what makes me qualified for those particular areas. do you mind if I ask which units do you prefer?
  16. I did practice…I definitely think if I wasn’t as nervous I would have been able to have done better. Don’t worry it was fair and if you just pause and take a moment you could fit any of your experiences to answer it.
  17. Hi! I was thrown off because despite thinking I was prepared for any behavioral question I had not been exposed to this particular question and felt like my example was not as fluid as I would have liked.
  18. I had my interview yesterday for St Joseph in Orange. Overall, it went well but I definitely think I was thrown off by two questions and could have done better. As for the clinical scenario I think it was a fair question that most inexperienced new nurses would be able to understand and produce a thoughtful response. I was interviewed by three manager (float, mother/baby, and I forgot the last one). The one leading the interview was very friendly and gave me good vibes. My advice to anyone who hasn’t interviewed yet is to be yourself and remember to show the logic behind your response. Good luck everybody!!!
  19. I got an interview yesterday at St. Joe’s. Good luck everybody!!
  20. Hey! I haven’t heard anything. My application still reads under review.
  21. I have not heard anything...
