I like paper books too, but it comes with $50 extra cost per book so... LOL
It gives you anywhere from 12 months to 24 months subscription time depending on how long you need it for per your program's requirement. So they can be expired.
Last semester, we stayed online for all didactic classes including exams. However, it's indecisive for this semester, as of now, we are online until end of this month and will wait for CDC guidelines from Feb. So I can't tell you for sure and it's go...

I don't have paper books LOL, we use Coursepoint for e-books and course assignments, you literally have to buy from the website and enroll in your classes. Although you have the options to buy paper books for extra costs but I didn't.
If you can only take patho or pharm, I'd choose pharm, because this seems harder in pson, and it comes with proctored HESI exam that's hard to prepare ahead of time. I've heard classmates from my cohort failing pharm.
