  1. I’m not on the OIG list, never was. I’m interested in doing some travel assignments so that’s why I said I can’t get a job. I believe that the hospitals will not take nurses who’ve been in recovery even though I finished the probationary period 15 years ago. But I guess that’s part of the punishment. I’m working, I just wanted to travel for a short spell. Thanks for being kind to show me how to get off the list though.
  2. First of all Lust4life and TX Strong you have no idea what I went through just like I have no idea what you went through! Do not come for me!!
  3. No I wasn’t and am not currently on the OIG list. I was never taken off work, I just worked with restrictions from 2005 to 2007 and no problems since. I’ve applied for travel jobs but recently had a job rescinded because of the public stain on my license. HP Nelson I’m very interested in coding, please share how I can get started. The question was posted because I wanted to work as a traveler for about a year to accomplish some things.
  4. I agree with Lady, continue to work the program, it will get better, I promise you. I understand the fear, that alone can be paralyzing. Keep your head up, the sun will shine.
  5. Thank you so much Nurse Beth and Hppy for responding and offering your insight and suggestions. I was never taken off work, I just worked with restrictions for 2005--2007 at an LTACH that gave me a chance for which I am eternally grateful. Hppy you are so right about psych facilities, they are never happy to be there. I really should have said that differently. I'm actually in Texas and I have a compact license and a couple more that are not in the compact. I just wanted to jump on the bandwagon to make some decent money for about a year. I understand the hospitals reluctance to hire nurses in recovery, it IS taking a risk that they don't really have to, but I was thinking since I have so much experience and it's been so long ago they might allow it. When I tell the recruiters about it I never hear from them again and it kinda makes me sad for a moment. I wish I did live in Cali, Hppy I'm in Texas for now but thank you that's so kind of you, I sincerely appreciate it. Again thank you both.
  6. This conversation should've been over 20 messages ago. It's "comprehension" not "comprehensive" especially since you "get paid to decipher what people say." You both believe differently just accept it as such and move on.
  7. Wow, you really need anger management sessions!
