  1. I am so sorry to hear that ? What number are you on the waitlist if you don't mind me asking because maybe there is still hope?
  2. Congrats!! Check your junk mail maybe it went there
  3. BCIT is starting to send out admissions so the people who were waiting for BCIT might decline their offers soon! I am sure you will hear back soon!!
  4. apparently, we are not allowed to post links or talk about other servers. That is why they keep being deleted.
  5. I do not think that there is a FB group yet. ?
  6. Congratulations! I am so happy for you. Hard work finally paid off ?
  7. I am sure you will make it in. Thank you so much! I am definitely going to UBC ?
  8. You are most likely going to get in since you are so high up on the waiting list! If you get accepted into both, which one do you think you are going to attend?
  9. Oh wow! thank you so much for this amazing response! You answered all of my questions and more! Good luck on your interview! You are going to do amazing!!
  10. Congrats on your graduation! Can I ask you what your plans are now that you have graduated? Do you take the NCLEX now? Can you apply for jobs, or do you need to pass the NCLEX first?
  11. LOL you are pretty much in!! Congrats ? I am very happy for you!!
  12. I am also wondering if there is a FB group. I know that NUS usually makes a group for the incoming cohort. Maybe we should wait a little longer?
  13. I GOT IN!!
  14. Not that I know of. Seems like they usually send them out later in the day.
  15. Hi folks! We might hear back either this Friday or by the end of next week at the latest, so I decided to come here and spread some positivity. I know I am losing my sanity, so just remember that you are not alone at all. We are all in this together! You are all amazing human beings with a lot to offer to the healthcare community. Please stay positive, and your time to shine will come soon! I really hope that we all get those acceptance letters ❤️
  16. Oh my gosh SAME! I also like perinatal care so I was thinking of that too. I enjoy acuity, so I think I would also enjoy PICU or ICU.
  17. That is exactly what I was thinking! If I get into UBC, I will also not be taking the non-cognitive questionnaire, so I had that theory ? I am glad I am not the only one who would not be taking it. Do you know what you want to specialize in through BCIT?
  18. hahaha it is definitely not as impressive as yours. My UBC average would be around 86. I have also volunteered at Children's hospital like a lot of the folks here. I am a research assistant at a lab at UBC. I have some other volunteer experience in the community plus some retail experience!
  19. This is super helpful! Thank you so much for the heads up ?
  20. Oh wow! Your application sounds amazing! I am sure you will get into both schools!
  21. What is everyone here applying with for both of the programs if you don't mind sharing? I am definitely really nervous since there seems to be a lot of qualified applicants!
  22. I think both programs are equally competitive, but they have different students who are interested in them. For example, a 35-year old parent would probably prefer UBC over BCIT because they can quickly get their degree and start working. Whereas BCIT is preferred by those who really want to get hands-on experience and may have some sort of speciality in mind since you can take some specialization courses at BCIT. How about everyone here? Do you have a preference?
  23. Personally, I prefer UBC over BCIT, but that is mostly because I am already a UBC student and am very much used to the environment and just the culture in general. I also like the fact that it is a 20 months program.
  24. I wonder if that will make the application process less competitive since some applicants will get into UBC and probably won't even take the non-cognitive questionnaire (ofc if they prefer to go to UBC)...
  25. Wow! That is super late!
