  1. That is exactly what everyone is telling you. Is this really Davey trying to "spice" things up. I'm done with this site. It has gotten ridiculous.
  2. Pediatrics might not be your thing and that is okay! Give the LTC another try and see how it goes. Sometimes we try to fight what the universe is telling us, if that makes any sense. Don't be too hard on yourself either. We all excel at different things and it can take years to find your place. Sending some virtual hugs your way!
  3. Patients with powerful bowel movements definitely scare the bejesus out of me. LOL. Sorry but I had to do it. I feel like when I am reading these posts I am in some weird alternate universe.....
  4. Interesting. I have done red cell exchanges on sickle cell patients with moyamoya. I did not know that there was a connection with Down syndrome though. Thanks for posting this.
  5. Wow, just wow. Stop feeding into it. No further replies. Look up attention seeking behaviors.
  6. The first post you made was nice. Yes, we should be more encouraging of each other absolutely. Congratulations on graduating! The other posts, not so great. You always need to rise above and be the bigger person. The Karen name calling is extremely immature and unprofessional.
  7. I take call 24/7 every other week right now. Certainly not ideal. But I have no kids and it kind of works for me. I do get call pay, only $3/hour but it does add up. I think you just need to decide if it fits with your lifestyle and if it is a job you would like. Personally, I like where I work and what I am doing so that makes a huge difference. Some people though just aren't meant for it and absolutely despise it.
  8. I think what you are feeling is normal. Maybe try approaching your preceptor and let them know how you are feeling. They may be trying to give you space because you are doing well! Try not to beat yourself up too much. We all make mistakes. It will get easier with time. You are just getting your feet wet. If after a year you still don't like it then think about something else. Don't give up yet!
