I personally think a strong argument for why hospitals should hire LPNs again is that they can provide a valuable support role to RNs in the hospital setting. LPNs are trained to perform many of the same tasks as RNs, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care. However, they are able to do so at a lower cost and with fewer hours than an RN. This can be especially beneficial in busy hospital settings where there is often a shortage of qualified RNs and LPNs can provide much needed relief and assistance. Additionally, removing LPNs from the hospital was a bad idea to begin with because it caused additional strain on the nursing staff who had to take up the slack created by their absence. Bringing back LPNs would help alleviate this burden and allow for better patient care overall.

I totally understand, I compare it to binge watching your favorite series on Netflix/Hulu. I after completing your favorite show and then watching the series finale, there is this sort of "emptiness." I just graduated recently and I went through the same thing. Feelings come and go, for me it was more of my very small group of friends that went through the same struggle with me for the two years, now that nursing school is coming out of focus and real world is coming into focus. During nursing school we tend to block out everything that's going on around us, reality it's hard after nursing school. BTW congratulations! You just completed some thing that is not easy to do, you should be proud of yourself. I'm proud of you! Best wishes and I wish you the feeling of joy..

I was reading through some of the thread and a link that was shared. I scrolled through some of the opinions as well. Mike from Simple Nursing has helped thousands of students such as myself. It was because his videos I made deans list for five semesters. People criticize and critiqued some spelling mishaps he may have had in the past on some of his videos. one nurse commented “it really worries me that some of the words were misspelled” I mean like, really? Who cares? some nurses in that thread even heckled him cause he was an EMT and is now an RN. It’s that kind of toxicity that really annoys me. The honest truth, I know a quite a few EMTs out there that would make nurses earn their respect. Ask for a trial membership, they have a phone number you can call directly and speak with a friendly customer service rep. I recommend them they are definitely legit. Happy nursing!

I just wrapped up my 1st semester, and I must say it was very difficult. Nursing school is hard! Believe me, hard work is not new for me. Years ago I did all my prerequisites for PA school, and I did well. That's a different story for a different post. Learning theories and how it's applied was very different for me. Especially when doing exam questions and every answer is right, but have to figure out which one is "more" right in the situation at hand. My class & I are doing this all online, I have a 1 yr & 4 Mo old at home and working full time taking 15 credits during the crisis. I swear I wasn't going to make it through the semester. THANK GOD for my fellow classmates & the "team" mentality I made it through! Thank you for this post.

I definitely agree, especially in today's climate of sensitivity. This is probably the safest way to approach this question. Sometimes answering questions like this can lead you down a rabbit hole that might be hard to get out of.

Welcome to the generation of social media.. It is kind of embarrassing to see that. Today not just limited to nursing, but this generation's character is based on the amount of followers or likes one has. I mean even management gets involved with the tic toc dances as well. I think nursing school should also teach proper etiquette in regards to social media.
