  1. Thank you so much! One more question, how long did it take for NYSED to verify your license from taking the NCLEX? Classmates have been calling and were told it can take up to 3 months at this point which is just insane to me.
  2. Hey! Congrats on your offer! If you don't mind me asking, did you apply/interview before or after you took the NCLEX?
  3. Ah okay- thanks for the info! Totally missed that there was a deadline for the fellowship application, didn't start looking until my semester was over in early August. Good luck! This is actually great advice- I noticed a few postings still up on the website. I'm definitely going to try this. Thanks so much for sharing & congrats on your offer!
  4. It honestly doesn't really matter. They zoom in close so not a ton of your clothing is showing, only really from the neck up. I would just make sure it's something not stained/sloppy etc. I wore a blouse and a leather jacket (but it was also Spring time). Best of luck!
  5. Sorry you are going through this - but definitely stick to your guns. It would be one thing if they were transparent from the start about only having night shift, but that's obviously not the case. Good luck!
  6. Hi everyone! Just came across this thread. I planned on applying to the October 2022 Critical Care fellowship at Lenox Hill but just noticed the post was taken down. Does anyone know if that cohort is filled yet? It seems early but it's understandable. Just wondering, already moving on with my search. Thanks!
  7. I personally would not wear crocs. They stress close toed sneakers for a reason. You’re not a RN yet, once you are you may have some flexibility.
  8. You're welcome! I remember how confusing starting the program was. Feel free to reach out with any other questions!
  9. PSON student scrubs are closer to a hunter green color. Figs doesn't currently have a comparable color match. A lot of people in my cohort purchased these in Hunter Green if you want an idea of the color: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072KJ9JN9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. That's awesome! Thanks a lot for the advice and insight. I had actually started looking into Patient Care Tech positions for the Spring and Summer semesters. Congrats again & best of luck!
  11. Hi @Kimcheeee and @NavyJules Congrats on your offers and new jobs! Would you mind sharing what nursing schools you attended? I am in the middle of my BSN and wondering what schools MSKCC recruits from. Thanks so much!
  12. Hey! Classes start May 17th!
  13. NursingCAS won’t verify your application until they’ve received/reviewed all of your transcripts to make sure they match what you manually entered. This process usually takes about 1-2 weeks (they did it pretty quickly for me, in about a week). Once they verify your application they forward it to PSON for review. Even if you forward the transcripts directly to Mount Sinai, the rest of your application is going to remain unverified on NursingCAS. Did you call Portage and they said they had no record of your request? Under the transcript tab in your student dashboard it keeps a record of transcript request dates and when they fulfill the request. I would definitely call/e-mail admissions and see what they say. Requesting transcripts on Portage is free, so while waiting for an e-mail response/waiting to call PSON tomorrow, I would re-request transcripts to be sent to NursingCAS so whatever happens, they receive them as soon as possible. Best of luck!
