in my country, nurses can give stitches and they are trained during their academy/classes. we can even repair the episiotomy during the labour. So i hthink it depends upon the policy of each countries.

in our settings , i would prefer to work in ICU and then get transfer to ER. I know it is equally good but if you have work experience in ICU then you can work any of the units

in our situation, the surgical nurse has to work in the surdical wards or assist in OR as circulating nurse. You are not allowed to make incisions.I would prefer to be in aneasthetic side.Make a good research and make choice yourself

what will be the medical diagnosis?

it is great that you want to switch on to Ed after working in ICU.Here in our setting we can go and work in Ed as they say that we can work anywhere if you have worked in ICU.I would say all you need is the will to run around.

hi new Grad, I would also say to hang in there.It is always like that in the beginning and later on they will realize that they have done the wrong when you excel in your work.Show them that you also have the nursing skills and that you have also been graduated from Nursing College.

I felt the same like you when I first went to ER. I think it is normal as you always feel little excited as well get scared as you might fail but keep your head cool and carry on, you will do good.These days I am working as ICU/ER nurse. Here in our setting we need to have wide range of knowledgr while working in ER and I enjoy working in ER and being always on toe.Good Luck in your venture

I felt the same like you before i went to ER but later on got used to it. You will also do the same. These days I am working as ICU/ER nurse.It is great to work iin ER as you have to be the toe all the time and should be having the a wide range of knowledge.
