  1. I think you should take a big step back and look at your whole situation. This is the second time in a very short time span. There should be no question in your mind to report yourself. If you want to take a gamble on your license, that is up to you, but you diverted, no safe to work around narcotics and need to take responsibility for your actions.
  2. You are probably blacklisted from that hospital system and will continue to be once you are off your monitoring agreement. Hate to say it, happened to me and I had to get a job in a different city. This was almost 15 years ago but I assume it is the same to this day.
  3. I work in a psychiatric hospital and from time to time we get nurses, cops, lawyers ect in for various reasons. I have never once thought about punishing them because I have been in the program and I applaud them for getting help. Now, if they confess to doing something extremely unethical then my hands are tied. Some people try to hide it but they slip up and say something that that is a dead giveaway they are in healthcare. If they are of sound mind and judgement I do pull them aside and let them know I know and remind them that we are under the same governing body and held to the same standards of reporting. They usually get the hint and are usually super paranoid about it. I have never once thought about reporting someone.
  4. Hey guys- I have been in all of your shoes and have successfully made it out the other side. It took me almost a year to get a job. I currently work at a psychiatric hospital that welcomes nurses with restrictions on their license with open arms. So if you are struggling to find a job, DM me and I will give you all the information!
  5. Is your employer reporting you to the state for elder abuse?
  6. Where about in Michigan do you live? Dialysis is great and contract friendly along with some psych places.
  7. It was. It is the only HPRP DOC in my area. I sent all the information to HPRP. I did not have a contract with them. I am paying a lawyer to fight this for me. Do you have a lawyer? I wouldn’t do the intake assessment for HPRP. I had proof from one of their doctors saying I didn’t have a problem. I didn’t do an intake assessment because doing an intake assessment is kinda admitting you have a problem.
  8. I was false accused of diverting. I had the investigation with the board with a lawyer present. The board then sent me a letter stating that they were referring me to HPRP. A month later I then received a letter from the state that they found no error on my part and that my case was closed with them. I refused to participate with HPRP intake. I got an independent addictions evaluation who stated I had no substance abuse issues. HPRP then wrote the state and said my case was closed with them because of non-compliance. My lawyer continues to fight this and currently I am still working as a nurse. It has almost been one full year since I was contacted by the board and over 14 months since I was fired for diversion speculation.
  9. I am confused. So you missed a waste on Ambien which you say is no big deal, but a couple of days a go you asked if Ambien will show up in a drug test. Why would you be concerned if Ambien would show up on a drug test then worry because you didn’t get a witnesses waste. Did you take the Ambien then get caught and worry if it will show on a drug test?
