  1. Same here. BC is known for having a massive waitlist. There could be about 50 of us wailisted.
  2. The wait is definitely the worst part. Try not to think about it and wait for whenever they told you you'll hear back. There's nothing you can do and you have to come to terms with that. Stop thinking about the past or what you could've said. You gave it your all I'm sure.
  3. I meant to say applicants. But, yes I'm not sure how that'll work out. I wish you luck and hope that you applied to other schools to increase your chances.
  4. Waitlisted to interview? Man, they must've gotten a ton of interviews this year.
  5. I had a total of 3 years of ICU experience in a 12 bed medical ICU. My advice to you is to try to go out of your way to learn as much as you can, get certified, and make yourself available for leadership positions (charge, RRT, etc). You can work in a large ICU and still be a mediocre candidate. As far as my GPA goes, I had a cumulative 3.9 GPA. Science GPA is 3.5 I believe. I am CCRN-CMC certified and had my ACLS and PALS prior to applying. At the end of the day, CRNA school will teach you everything you need to succeed. I truly believe they look for people who communicate well and try to excel and master their craft in whatever ICU they work (small or large).
  6. Thank you for doing that. I just found it ironic that nobody ever mentions that. I hope you find my videos helpful and give you hope. I was rejected many times before I got a yes. Persistence is key. I will make a video once a week if possible. Im waiting to hear back from one in Boston, but the one I got in is in Philadelphia. They're both my first choices. Again, hang in there. I feel your pain.
  7. Im sorry to hear about your references not being completed on time. This exactly what I struggled the most when I was applying myself. I go over my experience on my vlog:
  8. You can never go wrong knowing your patient population well and bringing up everything that sets you apart (certifications, leadership, etc). It all comes down to selling yourself and showing them why you deserve a spot. I had a few interviews and my fair share of rejections and I wish I could tell you that they were all the same. They were not. Some of them can be very clinical and others more of a get to you type of thing.
  9. Got my acceptance letter yesterday ?. Good luck to everyone else still waiting. I was waitlisted for the last cohort so I am assuming that's why I heard within a week of interviewing.
  10. I hope they give you priority for next year if you are waitlisted. Again, best of luck. I've been waitlisted and rejected multiple times already so can relate to the feeling.
  11. They appear to be running on November 16th. I didn't know you guys weren't getting another interview shot.
  12. It's honestly based on your experience. Know your unit and your patient population. Definitely brush up on your ccrn material. Again, best of luck!
  13. This past Tuesday. I was waitlisted for the last cohort. Thats probably why I heard sooner. I am sure you'll hear back too. They were super friendly and approachable when I interviewed. So don't be too nervous if you get the chance to interview.
  14. I am grateful I was invited to interview again ?.
  15. My invitation was sent a couple of weeks after submission. Best of luck!
  16. the wait is probably the worst part...
  17. I was waitlisted for the 2020 cohort. The director and the staff were super nice. I applied again. Good luck!
  18. Only 2 schools did. And to be honest with you, I came off as very nervous at Penn and Northeastern. Jefferson was very easy going. More like a get to know you. It is hard to know what they will ask, but you should be ready to answer why you wanna do this, your experience, what you have done to stand out, review your ccrn material, review drips and procedures in your unit, strengths and weaknesses. Just remember that being nervous is normal. I still got nervous even when I thought I'd get better at this. It shows you that all interviews are different and you can't prepare 100%.
