  1. Hello, So I've been wanting to become a travel nurse in California, but currently have an Arizona RN license. Do I have to do license endorsement with the California Board of Nursing or because of Covid crisis I don't?
  2. Hello everyone, What insurance did you purchase to protect your license? I am looking into purchasing one especially due to these crazy times. Any recommendations?
  3. Does anyone know how much money Sharp new grads make?
  4. @MichellestudentnurseI was extremely nervous (and it showed) and rambled on what should have been easy basic questions and did not answer them well. I just know from the bottom of my heart that I didn't do so hot LOL. It would be a miracle if I even get an offer
  5. Hey everyone, how long after doing an interview should one expect to hear back? I had an interview (which did not go well at all but still hope to hear something even if its a rejection) at a hospital in Northern California and just wondering when I should reach out to the recruiter.
  6. Hey everyone! Did anyone figure out what "completed" ended up meaning?
  7. When applying did everyone submit a letter of intent?
  8. Hey any updates on how long its taking to endorse your license in Washington these days?
  9. If you go back and read past threads on Providence or even reviews on Google you'll find that they always interview way more candidates than there are spots. It's kind of annoying because the process itself is already long like the whole on demand interview then waiting and then interviewing again and then waiting and reference checks you'd think they would narrow things down a bit more before calling for interviews. It's a lot. So when people get interviewed they rightfully so think it is almost a done deal, which sucks when you find out there's way more people interviewing. They put so much emphasis on their model and mission so they may do these things to not only put a face to the resume but to find those who fit their model the best. Anyways my friend interviewed last year with them but at their Oregon location and it was the same thing except the interview was in person with a whole panel. Stay positive you are technically one foot in! My application never even got open LOL
  10. Hey thanks for this info! I moved out of state for nursing school and came back to California where my family is at, but I have considered applying to out of state facilities. I am starting to apply to Oregon and Washington because it is near impossible to land something here. I have my California license already so I am just worried that when the hiring managers see that they won't consider me further.
  11. That is pretty last minute maybe they assume you already have the references. I have applied to a lot of different places so I already have my references, but 24 hours is still not enough time to contact them and tell them to expect a call. Do they reach out to references by email or call?
  12. I am not sure if there is recruiter specific to each location but Jonathon is a recruiter for them, [email protected]
  13. The Skills Survey Reference tool? I remember hearing that that is done in the interview process stage but not sure if it is before or after. Maybe you should email the recruiter to be sure. Also how did they reach out to you for an interview was it via email or call?
  14. Thank you for this I will give it a try and see what happens. If I don't get anything in a hospital I think SNF's will be my next step. I know a girl who is in LA and did that for 6 months and continued applying to hospitals while there and finally got something. She did really hate it though, but whatever it takes right.
  15. How long are you giving yourself before you consider applying to SNF's or other facilities outside hospitals? I've applied to sooo many hospitals already and still nothing.
  16. I applied to multiple locations so not sure if that has anything to do with my application not being under review yet since it seems like cities hold interviews at their own times. But kind of losing hope since its been 2 weeks without any changes.
  17. I applied to all the Portland locations and Newberg, Oregon City and Milwaukie. And all the locations for their California RN Residency like Burbank etc.. I am just trying to find an RN residency so don't mind moving. And I applied for Cedar Sinai's job alerts notifications; I don't think they have actually opened up the applications for their February program.
  18. There was like 26 of us I believe. A lot of it had to do with how long it took take the NCLEX here and missing out on New Grad posts, but then also everyone wants a hospital position. I just really don't want to start as a new grad at a SNF you know, we all dream of being at a hospital with a preceptor. But if I have to I will start applying to those types of positions. So far I've only focused on hospital settings from the bay area to down southern California. I heard of a hospital that's around 3 hours south of Eugene Oregon that hires New Grads pretty fast, but its literally in middle of no where and it's a contract so you're kind of stuck there for however long the contract is. I'm not too confident on Providence because I know they get lots of applicants and limited spots and like you I was hoping to get ACLS etc. but have the hospital I work for pay for it. I am really just hoping to land a new grad position and keeping my fingers crossed that Providence reaches out soon even if its a rejection because the process unlike you experienced has been slow for me. It has been like 2 weeks without hearing back from them from both the California and Oregon locations after submitting the on-demand interview. And no I have not applied for an Oregon license since Providence was the only place I applied to there and have my California one. Do you know how long that process is by any chance?
  19. Hey there! It's the same in California right now my cohort graduated around May and no one has yet to land anything. I know others who graduated a few months before us and barely got something. Have you considered getting your ACLS and/or PALS? I haven't yet because they are kind of pricey, but I may start looking into that. Also as far as Providence goes it looks like they always have way more people interview than there are positions from what I read. I recently applied to their California locations and even their Oregon RN Residency since my aunt lives up there, but have not heard anything from them. My application there has been under review for like a week. Can I ask how long after your on-demand interview did you receive the official interview? Or how long after it being under review did you hear back for an interview?
  20. Oh OK, I think I submitted mine the 22nd or 23rd of September. Wish I had done it sooner. Did anyone else submit around these dates and has their application under review?
  21. I didn't have a preference on any location I applied to all basically. When did everyone submit their applications? Mine still says thank you for the submission.
  22. I don’t know of anyone who has interviewed for Providence but I was thinking maybe if they give you a patient scenario and ask you how you would respond to it. Is the interview over zoom or in person?
  23. Do you know how long your application stated it was under review for?
  24. Oh OK I imagine that's good then. Mine says Thank you we have received your submission and the date next to it is Sep 28
  25. Is this for the California residency or Oregon? I applied for the California multiple locations one and it still just says the Thank you message.
