  2. Semester break from nursing school

Honestly, this is a personal situation for you. You need to do whats best for you mentally. Your mental health comes first above an expected graduation date or if you will receive any judgement from others. Nursing school is tough, and if you need a ...

Keep your head up! Nursing school is hard its not you. Try a new study habit. Use Quizlet. Type up your class notes, but also make sure that you have balance in your life. If your not taking care of yourself, there's no way that you can expect to do ...

I'm struggling to find scholarships as well. Seems like theres not much out there other than Nursecorps. Going to continue working for another year and saving up money. Might work a full time and part time job to make enough money to not have to work...
  11. @futurern13 I'm sorry to hear that PA school didn't work out for you. I'm also another person who unfortunately was dismissed from a PA program. Would like to privately message you... message me.
  12. Former PA Student: ABSN or Direct Entry Master's

I would go for the ABSN. Direct entry MSN will usually require a post certificate to be able to become a Nurse Practitioner. If you don’t mind me asking, what happened that made PA not work out?
  13. Should I start nursing school this May?

I actually changed my mind and decided to wait a year to begin. Considering that there may be second waves of shutdown once things reopen up, it seems like a good amount of time of my program may be affected. Personally, I am going to use this year t...
  14. Should I start nursing school this May?

I decided to just stick with it and go for it. I'm hoping for the best, but I'm also getting a little worried.. feel like I should have just deferred until next year. But that would mean I have to wait a whole year to start nursing. In your case, I w...
  15. Should I start nursing school this May?

I would have to ask them, but given the circumstances I feel that they will. I asked them about clinicals but they just said as soon as they receive approval, they'd bring us back in but for now everything will be online. Seems like they're not sure ...
  16. Should I start nursing school this May?

I'm in Connecticut. We've been badly affected by COVID. But that is a good point you bring up, but I'm just not sure if bringing in more students would pose a risk of increasing the spread.
