  1. Has a facebook group been made yet for accepted students?
  2. Congrats!! I know I was def freaking out when I got the call in April, it felt so surreal but you should be proud of yourself! Here’s the link to the facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/137007814889157/?ref=share lmk if you have any questions!
  3. Has anyone else been called by Bing and accepted the offer? I’m looking for housing right now and a lot of the others already have a place set since they knew since January.
  4. Yes, about 30 min after I got off the phone I got an email saying my status has been updated & I had my official acceptance letter.
  5. From what I’ve heard they send out the first wave this week and a second in May, a few weeks before the program starts. So you never know!
  6. Thank you so much, I was literally shaking by the time I ended the call! And my cum GPA is about a 3.4 and prereq is 3.64. I sent in a personal statement and 2 letters of recommendations (1 from a NP I shadowed and the other from my Microbiology lab instructor). I have experience working as a nursing assistant and telemetry monitor tech at my local hospital for 2 years and I was a research assistant in my university’s exercise science and nutrition department looking into child eating behaviors and childhood obesity in the US.
  7. I just got a call from admissions offering me a seat! I hope more of you guys hear back soon!!
  8. My biggest question is how many people are normally offered a waitlist position in the first place. Most of us who are active on here were accepted or offered to be put on the waitlist but not really any rejections, but at the same time there’s not a lot of people active on allnurses.
  9. Does anyone have an idea on how many people are typically asked if they want to be put on the waitlist? Like 50, 100, more?
  10. Were you given the deadline of April 1 or March 1 to let Bing know if you want to accept/decline your offer of admission?
  11. @kalebiscuits have you heard anything from your advisor at all?
  12. That’s not bad at all, you never know what might happen! Do you have any healthcare experience at all, I know that they’ll look at that too in your resume if you have any.
  13. How are you on your prereqs? Are you taking any right now?
  14. This is what it says on mine, so weird! Either way if you could check, that’d be amazing!! Bing is my number 1 choice so I’m really doing everything I can to hopefully get off the waitlist, I finished my last prereq in January so I’m hoping that’ll help my chances
  15. In the waitlist letter I got it said March 1st, did they extend the deadline for accepted students to say yes or no?
  16. I don’t think binghamton will release any decisions until late-March/early-April, if there are any seats available
  17. It was just deadlines and stuff to be aware of like health requirements in case we get accepted! March 1 is the deadline that they gave accepted students to say whether they accept the offer or not so that’s why we most likely won’t hear back before that date. They want to count up all the available seats once the deadline has passed and select candidates from the waitlist to be taken off.
  18. March 1st is the first day that we might hear back about the waitlist not the last. I’ve talked to ---------------------, the admissions coordinator for the BAT program, about it and it’s in our waitlist letter and email that was sent yesterday. The last day we can expect to hear back is May 15!
  19. Yeah I just got the email too!
  20. Both are equally amazing and respected programs and very close in terms of cost so I guess it might come down to location and personal preference?
  21. Both programs have amazing reputations, and I felt like they were equal in that aspect. So it honestly came down to practicality and which one would be the better option in the long run. I’m a NYS resident so in terms of cost, UB is much cheaper than Villanova (by more than half), and the rent around the Villanova area seems to be pretty up there too compared to Buffalo. Also my end-goal is to become a NP and from what I’ve heard soon enough most places are going to prefer those with DNPs instead of just a Masters. And UB has a early decision BS-DNP program and they prefer UB nursing students for it so I felt like that would be really beneficial! These are some of the main reasons I chose to decline my admission and say yes to UB.
  22. Of course, hopefully one of you guys on the waitlist will hear something soon! And yes, I’ll be going to the University at Buffalo’s ABSN program in May!
  23. Just officially declined my admissions offer, good luck!
  24. I will most likely to rejecting my offer to Villanova so hopefully one of you guys in the waitlist will hear some good news soon!
