  1. I just briefly saw that somewhere when I tried to look it up but I'm probably wrong! Thanks so much for the info!
  2. Oh nice!! How long did it take after you graduated to get your ATT? I graduated May 9th and still have not received mine! Best of luck in finding a job!!
  3. Hey thanks for the response! So that's 12 days it took for you and today is the 12th day since I graduated, hopefully it won't be too much longer! I am registered with OBN and it says my program completion letter has not been received. So you say once that's received I'll automatically get a temp license? Will they email me or send it in the mail? Also, I accepted a job already a few months back! It worked out for me but it was still a bummer they cancelled the Mayo Clinic residency!
  4. Hi everyone! Just wanted to check and see how everyone is doing and find out if you guys have accepted jobs yet and where!
  5. Hello! I graduated from nursing school in Ohio on May 9 and still have not received my ATT to schedule my NCLEX in Ohio. My job has asked me if I want to apply for a temporary license but said it's up to me. I'm just wondering how much longer it will take to get my ATT; I would rather just start working after I take my NCLEX, but if it could be a month or more until I can schedule it I'm thinking I should apply for a temporary license so I can start working. But since it's $75 I don't want to apply and then shortly after receive my ATT! Anyone who has graduated in Ohio recently, how long did it take to receive your ATT?
  6. I'm so sorry everybody. I know a lot of us were really excited about this position. I'm praying that every one of us gets our dream job! If not now, than sometime in the future. For those interested in the ICU, I know that Abrazo Arrowhead is hiring new grads. I had applied a month or so ago and a recruiter reached out to me, but said to contact her once I got closer to sitting for the NCLEX. Here's the link if anyone is interested: https://jobs.tenethealth.com/job/glendale/RN-ICU-full-time-nights-at-arrowhead/1127/15616982. The recruiter's email is [email protected] if you want to reach out to her after applying. She said that none of the other Abrazo campuses are hiring new grads in the ICU, but other floors may. Hope that helps some of you. I accepted a position in my home state (not AZ) so am no longer interested in this position. Other jobs I applied to in AZ are Valleywise Health (new grad program in the Burn ICU), Banner new grad program, and a few new grad positions at Honor Health. I believe Dignity Health may have a new grad program in Phoenix as well. Not sure if any of these jobs are still open or available but it's worth a try. Best of luck to everybody, and maybe we'll all meet up and work at Mayo Clinic someday! ❤️
  7. I put a cover letter and I had a letter of recommendation my old boss had written for me for a different job so I added that too ?
  8. How has everyone been doing during this crazy time? Has finishing up nursing school been going OK? For me it has definitely been less work than it would have been because we were supposed to do at least 12 hours of precepting a week and so far we've had nothing to replace that. Just recorded lectures to listen to and lots of homework assignments. Also did anyone else hear about how they shortened the NCLEX to minimum 60 questions and max 120 questions and it's supposed to be harder to pass??
  9. I just got offered a job I interviewed for a few weeks ago at a hospital in my state! I have a few days to decide. It's so rough because it's probably gonna be weeks until we hear if we get an interview from Mayo. Leaning towards just taking this job so I can have this whole process over with...
  10. I’ve been looking on Dignity Health and haven’t seen any new grad job postings for Phoenix, just California. I tried to email someone and ask about it but never got a response. Maybe they wait to post them a little longer? I also applied to that burn unit one and was rejected pretty shortly after! I saw they still have the posting so I’m wondering why I was rejected if the job is still open ? I think that job would be cool. I’ve worked in wound care before as part of an internship and I really liked it!
  11. Has anyone applied to any other jobs around Phoenix? I've applied to Valleywise new grad (rejected), Abrazo, Banner new grad program, and Honor Health new grad (rejected). Have only heard back from Abrazo so far that I should contact HR when I'm closer to taking the NCLEX.
  12. Anybody know how many people they accept into the program?
  13. That would be really nice if so since I'm out of state! I was planning to fly to Phoenix for an interview if I got one and actually flights are really cheap right now with everything going on, but it would definitely be nice to just interview through Skype. Since the applications close after tomorrow I'm hoping it's not long until we find out if we got an interview!
  14. Yeah I'd be happy with any position. How did you like your clinicals in the ICU at Mayo? I'm from out of state so I've never even been there before!
  15. What area is everyone hoping to work in? ICU for me! I know they want ICU experience either with work or precepting and I was going to precept in the ICU but all clinicals/precepting are cancelled for the rest of the semester ? I work as a nurse assistant in the float pool of a hospital so I've requested to be floated to the ICU as much as possible. Hopefully that will be enough.
  16. I did too! I have been anxiously awaiting this day haha! Really praying I can at least get an interview. Good luck to everybody!
  17. Hi! I know this is not addressed to me but I just came across this comment. I am a new grad graduating in May and am looking at hospitals around Phoenix. I would like to work in the ICU. None of the Dignity hospitals around Phoenix have job postings for new grad programs but I did see a few ICU RN positions, should I apply for those?
  18. Hello! I am planning to apply as well! ?
  19. Thank you for the help! Best of luck to you in the rest of your career ? I may have other questions throughout this process so if so I will let you know!
  20. That is all good information to know! I am currently very bad at IVs so in a way that is good I wouldn't have to do many but I also wouldn't get much experience with them! Is there anything else you can think of that I can do to set myself above the other applicants?
  21. Thank you so much for the response! I will be doing my preceptorship in the CCU so I'm hoping that is what they are looking for. How have you been liking the program?
  22. Hello everyone! I am reading this thread almost a year later as I anticipate applying for the July 2020 Nurse Residency program! Not sure if anyone will see this but I thought I would try. It would be my dream to get in to this program so I am doing everything I can to prepare. I have a few questions for those who have applied in the past: -For those that got an interview, did you do anything specific to make your application stand out? -Did anyone get hired into the ICU? (This is my top area!) -Did anyone apply from out of state? I live a plane ride away from Phoenix currently but am planning to move. Anyone know if they would do Skype interviews? I would totally fly to my interview if needed but would be nice to not have to do that haha. -Any other info I should know before applying? Thank you!!
