Anybody ever make a facebook page?

FYI for anyone who has already interviewed. Check the application portal. I received an admissions offer through the portal, but did not receive a phone call or an email.

Totally.. I just keep reminding myself that if they are going to notify us before May 15 they will post it on the facebook wall, so I’ve just been checking that once or twice a day. One day at a time!! We’re almost there!

@tbell92 @srna2022 thanks for stopping by! I was super pumped to actually interview in the midst of COVID especially since other programs were postponing their deadlines. On the other hand I was a little bummed we weren’t going to meet some of you and have the chance to ask y’all some questions... so I do have a few for you! What is your favorite thing and least favorite thing about VCU so far? What sites are y’all at? I checked the Abingdon box on my application because my family lives down in Asheville which would be the perfect distance from us if we were to land there.. not too far, not too close ? What are the pros/cons for being in Richmond versus being at Abingdon/Alexandria/Roanoke? I’ve heard through the grapevine that VCU emphasizes more than other schools ultrasound guided regional/peripheral nerve blocks. Have you had any experience with this yet or have you heard from classes before you if that is the case? Again, thank you so much for dropping by and being willing to answer some questions for us! Hope y’all are staying safe.

I also got an interview... for June 4. When are y’all interviewing? I can’t wait! Eager to get a little more info. Yeah I’ve heard the interview process is challenging but I’ve also heard they’re very polite and easy to talk to. I think the key is going to be ready to speak to your critical care experience accurately and in detail. I probably won’t spend much time reviewing topics I don’t work with much.

It was definitely different! I'm pretty sure every program is having to adapt to these crazy times, though. I was thankful for how simple the platform was. Very straightforward without the opportunity for many glitches and things like that. I would have loved to meet them all though and hang out on campus... but we can only control what we can control! As far as the process goes, we are finished. We will find out May 15th whether or not we've been accepted unless they post on their VCU Nurse Anesthesia facebook page. Hope to meet you as well, my friend!

Well.... my wife gave birth to our son on the 12th of March, so that's been keeping me pretty busy :) With that I've had a little bit of time off. My wife and I made a little trip to Asheville, NC at the end of last week and did some hiking with our little guy (good socially distant outdoor activity before anybody jumps my case LOL). I've gotten to do a lot of reading books that have nothing to do with nursing! It's been too long since I've read something entirely for fun. We decked out back porch out with some nice lighting, planted flowers, mulched, all the good Spring time yard work. All that and snugglin with our little dude... time can go as slooooooowwwww as it wants to right now for us haha.

Anyone interested in talking about something else to keep our minds busy for the next few weeks? Haha. What do y’all like to do/work on (you can’t say study) to burn time? I interviewed on the 15th so I’ve been trying to stay busy for a little while to keep my mind at ease, and it’s been nice! The front and back yard and landscaping at our house is perfectly manicured haha.
