  1. Hello! I am currently a practicing RN in British Columbia, Canada. I've graduated from McGill University and received a Bachelor of Science which was not nursing related. I completed my nursing degree at the University of British Columbia. Anatomy & Physiology were completed at McGill University which served as prerequisites in being admitted to nursing at the University of British Columbia. I emailed CGFNS about the need for evaluation of my McGill transcript and they replied that Anatomy & Physiology would indeed need to be evaluated even though the degree I completed there was not nursing. I read this page from the McGill website: https://www.mcgill.ca/student-records/proof-reg/applicationservice which states that you can submit documents for McGill to complete them. I made this post as I was wondering if anyone else went through a similar process and also graduated from McGill? I plan on calling McGill during business hours, but I am wondering how we can request McGill to attach an official transcript and course syllabi with the transcript validation form. Or does it need to be separately ordered? I read this page from their School of Nursing to try to seek more information even though I did not complete nursing there: https://www.mcgill.ca/nursing/students/student-advising/graduation/licensing-forms which says there is an option to Add Documents but I wonder if this information is outdated? Does CGFNS also accept MyCreds (used by McGill now)? Thank you!
  2. Adding on to what lissynursing has already said, placements on Saturday and Sunday this term were all 7AM-3PM. There were some placements on Tuesday and Wednesday that had a majority of day shifts (7AM-3PM) with a few night shifts (2PM-10PM) and some placements had a majority of night shifts (2PM-10PM) with a few day shifts (7AM-3PM). Depending on your clinical instructor, the start time can be even 6:30AM. Most of my group members get to the hospital around 6:10AM so we have a plenty of time to do patient research. Each placement will be different but my night shifts have been from 1PM-9PM. Our instructor usually ends shifts earlier than 3PM and 9PM.
  3. Yes they were required. Maybe the format has changed this year?
  4. Current 2020 cohort student here jumping in. I am not sure if in person classes will return with the 2021 cohort. However, with online school, it's very busy. In the beginning of September, it was quite busy getting used to the online format. In October even as clinical started, it was not too bad. However, from the end of October to the whole month of November, there are many assignments, discussion posts, and papers due. I would advise to keep work to a minimum. You want to make sure that you do well in your first term.
  5. Anyone out of the country or out of province receive information about the personalized deadline for booking the immunization appointments? I've emailed the coordinator but have not received a response yet so I am wondering if anyone else is in the same situation.
  6. Thanks for the response friends, I'll try the other email. There probably is a lot of delays.
  7. Has anyone emailed the coordinator and received a response? I emailed the coordinator last week and haven't received a response yet but it's almost been a week.
  8. I also got accepted into the program!
  9. I also just got accepted into U of T. I'm really surprised!
  10. If you accept one offer and then accept another offer, it will cancel the first offer you accepted. I believe that's what happens.
  11. Hello everyone! I also got accepted into Queen's University. For those who got accepted into Queen's but are awaiting for responses from other universities, will you accept Queen's offer or decline it?
