  1. I haven't done an application yet bc the recruiter I've been in touch with said to apply between 3-6 months of graduating. I am currently 9 months out. I have worked as a tech in a level 1 trauma center, for 3 yrs and will be in a level 1 ICU in neuro for 18 months when I graduate and am active with student council in nursing on my campus. I am also a preceptor to new hires. Plus 15 yrs of CNA before becoming a tech.
  2. I am hoping to come after I graduate and RN the research I've done says these are the best burbs of rochester. I have not checked yet what the average of rent or owning is for each area though is.
  3. I heard about this a few weeks ago. They say that they (Mayo) have things in place to take care of their nurses and have ideas to make things better for bedside nurses. Has anyone heard what those ideas were?
  4. So I have been going back and forth between jobs once I finish my schooling and my heart is at Mayo Clinic. But I want ICU and while it says you can be a new nurse and get ICU I just wondered has anyone else gotten an offer straight from school?
  5. Would you be willing to tell me what type of ICU you were in and what you did in order to get ready to apply? Like grad level classes and such. Also do you work at mayo?
  6. Good evening!! I was curious as it's my dream to get into the program at Mayo in a few years what type of school you went to for your undergrad and does it matter so much or is it mostly the GPA that seems to matter? Also what grad level courses are you guys taking to give yourself an edge? And also the certifications you have received before applying? I am trying to get everything in order before I apply. Also how many years did you work as rns before trying to get in?
  7. So I am wanting to become a CRNA. Hoping to apply to mayo after my bachelors and have been thinking of looking into wgu. Does anyone know if pass fail classes/schools can hurt you if trying to go further?
  8. Hi Im looking into doing my rn to bsn through wgu so its on my own time schedule and was curious has anyone tried to go into further education and didnt have an issue bc of the gpa stuff? I want to go on to get my dnap and am afraid that the gpa scale they use may hurt that. Every program i have looked at wants a 3.0 or 3.2. Anyone have experience with this?
