Hello, Could anyone provide any insight on the type of interview at UTK (Emotional intelligence heavy or clinical heavy or a mix of both?) I know this thread is a few years old and things may have changed now that it is a DNP program, but I imagine the overall experience wouldn't change too much. It is online as well due to all of the changes related to COVID.

No experience (yet), but will be interviewing next week.

I emailed them today. She said they are still working on the meeting links and will have them out before the end of the business day tomorrow.

Since it is online, I doubt they will because they will probably need to get selections done soon because I imagine some people will need to move (like my self) and some people may need to register for the two Summer classes and such. The classes would start May 28th if they are full session classes. Logistically, I’m not sure how much of a delay could be done. I know my friends had online interviews today with one school and it worked well though.

Are there any specific documents I should plan to have available for a CRNA school interview. Such as CCRN score reports/resumes/personal essay/CRNA shadow verification forms (with comments about my shadow performance), etc... My interview is now in an online format now due to the virus outbreak so I'm not sure if they would even be needed now.

Not that I’m aware of, they only call the person you list if you are randomly picked for an hours audit.

I heard from them today, she said she’s hoping to have letters (By email) out by the end of the week. ? Fingers crossed!

I do not (YET!), but I am originally from Knoxville, all my family is still there and multiple people from my family are UTK grads as well. It was my goal of originally going to school there, however moving back to TN after high school before I got my BSN was not feasible at the time. So now that I've got my BSN and have been working, I figured its time to try and make the goal come true. Did your friend tell you if they do a clinical knowledge test or a simulation at the interview or was it all just a panel-type interview with questions?

Oh ok, I'm sure many programs that just transitioned are still working out their bugs, I know another program I am applying to in Michigan is still working things out as well and are already a few cohorts in. I hope we hear some good news soon, this is my number 1 pick for schools. ?

Are they in the first DNP-NA cohort or the masters? Do you know if they got a phone call or email for an interview notification and how long before interviews it was they were notified, if it was for the first DNP-NA class that started this past year?

Hello, I used the Barron's CCRN review book, with practice tests, as well as the Pass CCRN questions online. I felt the Barron's book gave a quick cut and dry review of what you needed to know in a easy to read format and the Pass CCRN questions were comparable or maybe even a little tougher than the actual CCRN. I took all of the Barron's book review tests as well as the online one that comes with it along with multiple practice exams on Pass CCRN. I studied for about 2 months or so before testing.

Im not sure. Keep both open and checking often to make sure I don’t miss A call or email haha.

I got declined an interview ?, waiting for A UTK Interview offer currently.
