UTA AO BSN Spring 2022
Any way of knowing which hospitals are partnered? Didn’t seem like it but I thought I’d ask.. we are In The RGV area. I’m already and RN and I doubt I’ll have trouble finding an accepting hospital for my husband but IDK if they even allow that ?♀️

OK I wanna get this right.. what I’ve been hearing and I guess reading is that people are waitlisted for the AOBSN program if they are not currently working at a local hospital? Hey@sciencedude1 I saw from aprevious post you asked if anyone was from the valley? Like RGV? Wondering how it was for you to get in and where you did your clinicals?

UTA AO BSN Spring 2022
How difficult would you say it was to get into the program? Currently Amy husband is considering a career change.. he has a MBA.. will likely have to retake all science courses.. have you encountered a lot of waitlisted people?

Anyone know if they only accept students with current jobs in the hospital? That’s the rumor apparently..

Second time mom woes
Hello y’all ? I’m struggling here.. mentally and emotionally.. mid pandemic we were let go from a cushy home health job that I really liked it paid well and had amazing flexibility.. but the company could no more and we were laid off.. worse is I was pregnant at the time (can you imagine the stress?) after about two months I found part time which them turned into full time employment as a nurse but mon- fri( great Pay commute is less than 7 mins) it’s high stress which sometimes kicks my *** especially since I go every damn day.. except for weekends.. I had my baby and this work place was actually very toxic during the last month ( I actually had HR confront me about resigning from my job since my OB appointments were leading to staffing issues) I could have sued!! And I should have!! I’d be way happier now.. but I needed a steady paycheck.. but Im miserable y’all.. I’m stressed and exhausted.. I’m pushed to my limits..I quit school since that was too much.. I quit my PRN job Im still miserable.. what could I do that is flexible and mommy friendly? I also do not wanna work holidays.. my kids come first on those days.. mainly Christmas and thanksgiving I don’t care so much about the other holidays

Just saw in their website that pass rates right now are 80%

HBU FNP 2017
Hey ? they have not helped me at all.. last semester I was dropped from my clinical sites because of covid and I was pregnant they felt it was too much of a liability. I spoke with the directors multiple times and received no placement assistance.. now Im taking a break because they won't let me make up the hours while going to school.. keep in mind Im a great student! A+ on all courses so far.. I feel at a loss with this program.. I’m not sure if I want to go back but I feel like I should but then I would have no idea how to get clinical sites now and it’s been a very difficult and unfortunate experience with them so far.. feels like 5 grand down the drain since other programs won’t take all of my credits.. I only had a year left.. I would switch now if you are just starting and looking for help with placement previously I had seen their pass rates were in the 90s

Centene/Peach State/Total Med
Hello, did you get hired at centene? just wondering what it was like for you? I was being scouted for a remote (Due to covid-19) job with Centene in Texas. I interviewed and my recruiters said I am being considered for the position but due to increase in cases and other unknown factors they have slowed down hiring... wondering if you did end up working for any other insurance?

UTA FNP Spring 2019
Hello I was wondering if any one could answer my question. I am currently in another FNP program which is online, but some personal situations that have arised and I feel I need to delay my clinical hours since in the program I'm in we start them very soon. I have already taken Pharm, Patho, and theory. I was wondering if the pedi lab and the adult lab are taken alone or inconjuction with other courses? I know they told me we cant double up like in the RN-BSN program.

Houston Christian University (HCU) FNP or PNP
I wonder if they do it like that we so have a break in between semesters? Instead of year round? Idk I feel like I’m lacking information in what they are planning for this program. Thank you for finding and sharing the text book information. I unfortunately don’t live in the Houston area. But I think we should start a group like a group chat or a Facebook group idk something to keep in touch and share information.

HBU FNP 2017
Hello, I just read your post and i was admitted and was planning on starting in the spring i was worried about the three courses in a 16 week format it sounded like alot? how did it go? i work full time and have a family also. Was it manageable? I really want to know your take on the program as a whole so far? i needed something flexible and i was used to the 5 weeks courses with UTA. I only applied because they had it advertised as 8 weeks courses on their website but i see now that it is 16 weeks courses.
