  1. Hey there! I'm not from Georgia but I just wanted to send you love and positive thoughts during this difficult time. I went through a 5 year program for different reasons (turned into 7 because of financial issues and a slip up) and all I can say is keep your head up surround yourself with supportive people. You got this!! But as for the hairspray you're fine! I still used the same beauty products and no issue. Don't let them instill fear into you! only thing I'd be watch are certain pasta dishes that have wine Best of luck to you!!
  2. Honestly, it is possible that it could show up. There's a good chance that it wouldn't but it's not worth the headache
  3. I'm not familiar with Vault, but I can tell you in my states version there are about 8 different combinations for different UDS. The cheapest one only tests for alcohol. The more expensive the test, the more they are testing for. I had a UDS that was about 160$ and they tested for literally every imaginable substance you could think of. Don't you just love how WE ARE THE ONES PAYING for these tests, yet we aren't allowed to know exactly what we're paying for?! Ugh, LOL. I feel your frustration, hang in there and best of luck to you!
  4. I believe D.C. is under Maryland's PDMP, but I'm not 100% sure. Is it possible to complete your program in another state your licensed in? I remember hearing from someone from the program I completed who was from Maryland that their program is one of the tougher ones-- 5 year minimum. (To be fair, many other states also require a 5 year "sentence"). There are also quite a few other states that only require 1.5-3 years, depending. (I've heard Virginia's program isn't that bad; same goes for PA & DE). I hope this was somewhat helpful. Wishing you all the best!!
  5. So many wonderful memories driving up 95-N with my kids towards New Haven where they have those taco trucks. Really hoping they're still there-- Go treat yourself to some tacos once you see you're in the clear!
  6. I hope you don't have to take that route either and don't think you will-- however, if you do, please don't hesitate to reach out.. Like I said I've been there, done that, and got the t-shirt. ? SAME, BRIDGEPORT!! Oh this is such a small world haha.
  7. If I were a betting man I'd put my money on you being OK. You haven't had a drink in awhile I take it, yeah? So your senses were probably much more sensitive to the lingering wine in the empty water bottle. However, just to cover the bases, if for some reason you have an issue I suggest you fight it and offer to take the pETH blood test. Yes, you WILL have to pay out of pocket for this test - but in a case of cross-contamination like this it WILL be worth it since you WILL pass. Better to pay the 80$ to prove your innocence than go through starting over? I had an issue with this in the past and as annoying as it was it did clear me. Really wishing tou all the best
  8. Ah yes, I used to live in CT so I'm familiar with HAVEN. They still call it HAVEN?
  9. Then yes, I can confidently say that is an ETG test. Not expensive enough to be much else
  10. No judgement here AT ALL. I'm so sorry you're going through this stress, I've been there myself. In my state an option 1 UDS does test for ETG. Do you remember how much the test costs? That can usually help determine what they're testing for. If you just filled an empty water bottle that contained red wine in it you should be more than fine. I've passed ETG UDS after much worse cross contaminations (OBVIOUSLY accidental, I was freaking out probably just as much as you are right now). Try not to worry. Sending you love and hugs. Hang in there ?? ?
  11. For me it was 2 months after. I saw a guy named (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and he honestly was a joke. I really am hoping you saw someone who was professional. Wishing all the best to you during this difficult time ?
  12. unfortunately @IrishCMSRN was spot on about starting over again at month zero. I decided not to voluntarily admit my relapse but when my case manager called me out on it I didn't deny it or request an MRO review. I truly feel ashamed for putting my career in jeopardy and I lost my job because of this. However, I have no choice but to be positive while I deal with my consequences, which include -- "voluntary" deactivation of my license, disclosing my.relapse to my group and my employer which meant immediately being pulled out of work, 90/90(GPS tracked/signatures), IOP evaluation for treatment (already went for-- the counselor told my case manager I "do not fit criteria for any substance abuse treatment"), and also a 2 year contract extension. I appreciate everyone's advice and words of kindness. I hope that everyone stays sober and focused on the finish line -- all of us will get there, in due time. Freedom is a dish best to serve and enjoy after defeating a difficult battle.
  13. The main ones I would avoid with my experience due to test sensitivity are the pastas cooked with alcohol (vodka penne, chicken marsala, ect) and cosmetic products with hemp/alcohol. The poppy seeds would need to be a lot for you to test positive but I've heard it's happened to some who are in for opiates. There is a whole book of other products to avoid as well you can find on your monitoring page or the boards site. Thanks for posting, always interesting topic since there are so many things we "must" avoid. Good luck!!
  14. Congratulations to you!!!! Enjoy all the poppyseed bagels and vodka penne pasta in the world!
  15. @SpankedInPittsburgh thank you for your support and kindness. I believe you may be correct about the voluntary confession not helping which truly is ashame. I too usually get option 3 and honestly you may be right about 2 being etoh. What will be will be and I will have to prepare for potential consequences including being pulled out of work and contract extension. Thank you again and absolutely right you are about strict compliance -- To all who read this and may be facing temptation / battling urges THE STRESS IS NOT WORTH IT I WILL NOT SLEEP WELL UNTIL MY RESULTS ARE POSTED I wish I had handled the situation differently PLEaSe do not risk your sobriety or your sanity!!!!
