I’m about to loose my mind. I’ve had dreams the past three nights about opening the email!! I was accepted to another school and it’s my second choice. I have to accept by November 2 and I really needed some time to think through it all first. I’m hoping there have been some people that have either called or emailed. I’m sure there’s not something crazy like their email system is down, right?!?! ???

Do any of you know anything about the ABSN program at Northeastern University in Charlotte? I went ahead and applied there as well and just found out last week (which was actually the time they said they would notify me) I was accepted. Just wondering if anyone knew about the program there. WSSU is definitely my first choice but my GPA according to the application process is borderline. Northeastern university uses your last 60 credit hours as your current GPA and with that system my GPA is a 3.7. But I totally messed around my first two semesters with my first bachelors.

Crazy!! I can’t believe it.

I’m pretty sure they would send an email soon saying that the process has been delayed. I don’t think they would just leave us all hanging over the weekend. If they do I’m gonna need some booze.

I know right?!?! I’m loosing my mind.

Thanks! That’s what I had seen from previous years that the decision came through email and I know it sit on the website to look for it mid October. But my email jitters started the moment I sent in the application! ???

Sorry to make everyone’s notifications go off for this question. I know every time I see a notification for this thread to go off my heart skips a beat. LOL But.....question is: has anyone started applying for scholarships? From what I hear you should wait on your schools decision but I’ve also heard Winston Salem state has pretty poor financially support. I feel very lost with scholarships/Financial aid because I didn’t pay for school the first time but it’s all me this time.

Good!! I finally got an email response from her yesterday after contacting two other people. She said she has attached my transcripts to my application so now I just wait!! ????

I have two questions: 1- My application to WSSU says "Received - Complete Your application is complete, and ready for review by the program to which you applied." I'm assuming there isn't anything else I need to do for applying to the school? 2- I've been trying since Friday to get in touch with someone in the Nursing Dept to confirm they received my transcripts (I didn't know they needed transcripts from a school that is reflected on my primary school transcript) via email and phone. The only contact and phone I have is for -----------------------. She has been awesome in responding very promptly before, so I'm worried I might need to follow up with someone else. Any idea who I should try to contact? Thanks!

I applied to the school. Then applied to the program. I forwarded the confirmation of payment to the nursing application department. They literally confirmed with an “OK!” LOL then about a week later I emailed to ask if I needed to do anything else. I specifically asked if I had to do anything else with application to the school. The question wasn’t answered. They responded but didn’t address that question. I’m praying it is all OK! @Alicia Andrews- what other forums are you in? I feel like I need more info!! As I’m on pins and needles as I’m waiting until Oct!!

It looks like you all are in Boston. I just applied to the school in Charlotte. However, the price is crazy to me. Very overwhelmed by it. I am also having a really hard time finding info from students in the program.

@redshott- did you happen to apply to NEU program? I'm desperately trying to find info about their ABSN program and not having much luck. I applied to the Spring 2021 cohort but I can't really figure out how I will pay for it! Only issue for me.

I work in a hospital and I just started seeing students coming back about a month ago. Do you know anything about Northeastern University‘s program?

You are so sweet to give us all this information. And thank you for breaking down your grades. I feel like there’s a low chance I will get in. My SAT scores are actually the exact same as yours. I have a 2.98 from UNCG from 12 years ago. I started my prerequisites again in the fall and I have one C (horrible jerk prof for my first class back), four A’s, and a B (GPA 3.48). So I would love to have a shot at this! I also apply to Northeastern University and Charlotte. I feel like I have a higher chance of getting in there. But the cost of tuition is staggering. do you or many people in the Winston Salem State program use loans to get through school? I have a PR in job as well but have three kids (no partner- but lots of family support) and will Have to get loans. ? I read that Winston Salem State has limited financial aid guidance. and fingers crossed for everyone else! I would love to see you guys in January! It’s going to be a long 2 1/2 months waiting for a reply. For those of you who ask, I’ve been emailing with --------------------- and she said we would know mid October. @Ashlee Clark- One last question for you. Are you guys meeting in person now? For classes I mean? I know there is no option when you have to do clinicals. I wonder what it’ll be like in the fall/Winter when the flu season hits in addition to Covid!

This is SO helpful as I just submitted my application last night!! So, when is the program "done"? It says Graduation 5/21 for you guys? When do you guys take the NCLEX? I'm trying to wrap my brain around how this works. Thanks!

So, I haven't gotten an email response from the school when I emailed a few questions last week. It says in the application that transcripts CAN be unofficial. I just received a transcript from a Summer class I just finished and it has a big "Unofficial" stamp in red across it. I'm surprised they are OK with unofficial.

OK- I have another question. Do I have to wait until an acceptance to the University before applying to the ABSN program?

I'm so nervous that I will forget something!

Hey Alex! I’m planning to apply in spring 2021 to Charlotte campus. In addition to some other schools. However, I’m trying to wrap my head around tuition.....I have no idea how I’d be able to make that work. Did you get accepted?
