  1. I have just passed my NCLEX. I am officially a nurse. Looking back at this makes me remember what I went through to get here! I ended up getting a full scholarship through HRSA that paid for my entire ABSN program. I am so grateful, it hurts to smile. Thank you all again for the advice!
  2. Hey! Unfortunately you can’t pick a day for clinical, the cohort will have a specified day in the week. The online courses are manageable with a job. It’s only discussion boards and papers for those courses. No live classes for that. My cohort has one live class per term and it’s online due to Covid-19. We meet once or twice a week. I have no idea how the program looks like without COVID-19 restrictions. Hope this helps a little!
  3. I just got it guys!! Sooo happy! Praise the lord!
  4. Ughh I haven’t received an email yet. I’m hoping and praying it comes because I am depending on it to pay for the next 6 months of school....let’s lift our hand in prayer ?? ??
  5. Never mind just saw the signature! It was done today at 840am! I hope this means I got it ??
  6. Hi! I got the notification that I am a finalist but how do I know if contract was countersigned? What and where am I looking for that??
  7. I received a finalist email mid August but haven’t heard anything since ??‍♀️
  8. @RNjjhp CONGRATS on your acceptance!
  9. @gabriela862 I don’t really know what normal looks like because our cohort started during the pandemic and our first term was fully online and our second term will be online with one day a week at our clinical site. Right now we are very busy with the materials from all the courses. Sorry it took me so long to reply, it is truly a demanding program so be ready for that! Good luck!
  10. @gabriela862 Hi! So sorry for the late reply, our first term is just coming to an end and it's been one crazy month. But I believe they review the applications on a rolling basis. Meaning they will review applicants until that class is full. Don't quote me though! Call them and speak to Vicky Brzoza if you haven't done so. She's a great help. Good luck.
  11. Hi @Haznursing I think as long as you score in the proficient range you have a chance. That combined with good prerequisite grades. I would definitely reach out to admissions and speak to Vicki Brzoza.
  12. Hi @santosw18! The schedule pre-covid 19 said 830am to 3pm or 4pm some days. Being that our cohort has not met live in person yet, I have not experienced it to really be 100% certain if those times are concrete. We meet online and trust me the program keeps you busy! Good luck and if you have any other questions please feel free to reach out!
  13. Hi @nursechichi20! Nice to meet you! I did also hear that it was a group of 20 people! I honestly love the class size! We all will know each other pretty well which is awesome. To answer your question about the financial aid, I only had a little left to use for my federal loans because I used it all up in undergrad plus taking prerequisites. I am currently working on securing a private loan for the program. From what I understand a lot of students in this program pay with private loans and a combo of scholarships. I would reach out to [email protected] or call them directly and I'm sure they will be able to navigate you through options. Don't forget to submit your 19/20 & 20/21 Fafsa! If you did already they will be able to give you more detailed information. The only email we received so far was the immunization requirements and the background screening/drug screening ;also the CPR certification requirement. Its a lot to do but they are giving us until April 17th to get it done but I am starting now because I really want to focus on the program when we start. The orientation is set for March 23rd and 24th from 830am to 430pm. I am sure we will get all the information on uniforms, clinicals, and required materials at that point. I have a wishlist full of stuff on Amazon and just waiting to buy! ha! Don't be a stranger and hope to meet you during orientation!
  14. Congrats Gary! I don’t have much insight except what’s available through this site. I hear it’s intense but what nursing programs aren’t. I’m not working during the program however I do have two little ones but I have support at home with their dad. The school and people seem very straight forward so far. I’m excited overall!
  15. Hi! I was just accepted to the April 2020 cohort and confirmed that I will be attending! Anyone else out there?! I know the cohorts are small but looking to make some potential connections in advance. My first bachelors was in social work back in 2009!
  16. Hello, anyone on this thread still out there? I have an interview and really would love to hear how your interview experiences were and about your experiences with the program.
  17. Wow awesome! Congrats! And thank you for the inspiration!
  18. Thanks guys! The advice helped and I enrolled in a local community college. I will get my ADN and after that do a bridge program for RN to BSN. I wanted to avoid this route because it will take me longer but I don’t have the financial stability right now to afford ABSN route. And wow 3000 dollars would have been awesome! That doesn’t exist in N.J. my program will run me about 10,000 and that’s with books and supplies/ scrubs included. Here I go! My journey begins fall 2019 at Camden County College! Wooohoo ?
  19. yup, I can't take any private loans due to a current open bankruptcy and my federal loans will only allow me to take 9500 because I have used a majority of it for my first bachelors degree, which is a complete worthless degree that I will never go into that field.....I can apply for scholarships but none are enough to pay for ABSN program....dont have anyone that will cosign for me hence the bankruptcy.....I want to become a nurse so bad and have finished a lot of my prerequisites....I hate being in a financial bind...any advice would be helpful
