  1. Hi all, Im a new grad and was recently offered a RN position at a NYC hospital. Salary is usually visible for city hospital jobs but there is an additional 5k night differential and 1.8k for having a BSN. So if the stated salary is 85k then actual yearly income is closer to 91k/ year. Hope this is useful for anyone considering city employment. Good luck on the job hunt.
  2. Definitely keep your mind open to the possibility of applying to multiple nursing programs (Lehman, St. Francis, etc...). I also did not get into the hunter program on my first application because i took the NLN exam without being fully prepared but i toughed it out and was accepted on my second try. If you are set on hunter and happen to be waiting then i suggest you take the Anatomy 1&2 and microbiology courses if you get a chance to (i know they are offered only during certain semesters). I have met plenty of straight A students whose grades have suffered because of the difficulty of balancing the bio lectures and labs on top of the nursing classes and labs. Good luck!!
  3. Hey wanna play a card game with us?... we’re understaffed
