  1. Hey guys! I am currently an ABSN2 at UNC, just wanted to pop in and say to all the waitlisted people: keep the faith! I was accepted from the waitlist in February.
  2. @uncnurse2020 They didn't! I think they tried to call me but I didn't answer the unknown number, the email I got was just a normal acceptance letter.
  3. @CatMommy101 Thank you! Just one more question, do you know if the cost of attendance for loan purposes is only certified to what is listed on the ABSN website? (Tuition, clinical fees, books, uniforms, etc.?) Because I would also need to take out living expenses like rent & food and such!
  4. OMG I just got off the waitlist! So both of the orientation dates they gave me to choose from have passed, does anyone mind telling me what was went over during orientation?
  5. Have any waitlist people heard anything yet?
  6. @jeezlouise I initially placed my enrollment deposit but I didn't get any financial aid and can't afford the 1500/month for 10 years payment (no cosigner). So unfortunately I had to withdraw my commitment.
  7. Those who got in- do you mind sharing the deadline for responding? Just so I have another date to be anxious for, lol
  8. I just got my wait list email. Hopefully I will get in at some point!
  9. Unfortunately i have been thinking about it a lot ?
  10. Step 1- try not to think about it step 2- think about it a lot
  11. I am so anxious now that it's December!
  12. I know we still have a while to wait for decisions, but does anyone know when they will be released? The FAQ page says 12-14 weeks after the deadline, but the curriculum page says the deadline was Oct 1 and we will find out in March 2020.
  13. If you go to your application and where you can download a PDF or print it it’s in there quite a few pages down!
  14. Oh my goodness I just realized I uploaded the wrong document for my essays that has part of another essay cut off at the bottom ?? I hope they don't hold that against me!!
  15. @futurenurse0721 they took it thankfully and my application was verified today!
  16. I got an email saying my application was cancelled because I didn't have all of my transcripts in because I did a summer forum where i got 2 college credits but no grade or anything so I wasn't sure how to put in in CAS so I resubmitted today, hopefully they'll accept that ?
  17. @FutureRN303 I submitted the NursingCAS app two days ago and got the supplemental email today.
  18. Hey guys! I literally just decided to apply yesterday. I was accepted to Duke for January 2020 but ultimately decided that $100k is way too much for me. I don't have much volunteer experience, but my GPA is in the 3.5 range so I hope that that will help a little bit.
  19. @lisaaa my dog is for sure coming!!!
  20. @jeezlouise According to Duke's MSN website Duke Nursing graduates get preference in the selection process.
  21. For those of y’all who went yesterday, was everyone wearing like business casual or does it matter?
  22. I used to live in Chapel Hill, Durham definitely has its good areas and its....not so good areas. I really like CH (expensive), Carrboro (also expensive but slightly less than Chapel Hill), and Cary. I’ll probably be looking for somewhere in Cary as it’s less expensive and I’m more comfortable with the area than Durham, though this is just an opinion that I’ve developed from talking to my friends who went to Duke when I went to Carolina.
  23. Thought about the debt for all of 30 seconds and decided to hit "enroll" anyway! So excited to meet y'all in the spring! (hopefully financial aid comes through lol)
  24. I honestly can't believe it, but I got in!!!! I'm SO excited!
