I emailed Kenny asking about the appeal process and he said something along the lines of there were many competitive applicants and he encouraged me to look into other nursing programs. So I never got to appeal. But after I got my acceptance recently I emailed him again asking if my acceptance was real since my original rejection email didn’t mention me being on the waitlist. He said my acceptance email was correct and they did something new this year where they didn’t tell students if they were on the waitlist or not. Which I think is dumb lmao.

Does anyone know how old the UF nursing program is in Jax? Ever since I got my acceptance email the other day I’ve kind of been freaking out deciding on whether or not to accept. I’ve already committed to UCF and completed all my requirements needed before the start of the program but moving back in with my parents in Jacksonville would save me a lot of rent money. I’m just hesitant to go to the Jax campus cause of what I’ve heard about it being worse than Gainesville/having a new curriculum/not having as many resources. Plus the NCLEX pass rate at UCF is higher anyway.

How long did they give you to accept?

Are you looking for UCF affiliated student housing? Or even if you aren't, there are several Facebook groups dedicated to people finding housing near school/finding someone to take over their lease. (Try UCF Housing, UCF Housing & Full Sail Subleases Roommates Off Campus Apartments - Orlando, or UCF Housing, Rooms, Apartments, Sublets.) I went around looking for student housing recently and decided to sign at Orion on Orpington. They have 4x4 units, it's super close to the College of Nursing, but many units were recently renovated so you can expect rent to be well over $700/month. It was the nicest off campus student housing I saw though, and everywhere off campus and close to school is around the same price range anyway. Apartments are also completely furnished. When I was there they still had some rooms open for summer where you can take over someone's sublease, and if they haven't filled that room yet for Fall you can sublease and renew at the same time and they'll waive the application fee for you. That's what I did and I'm set for housing through Summer 2020. If you end up going there, let me know! I think they have a thing where if I refer a friend we both get something? I don't remember lol.

It may take a while for everyone to get the email because the MOA has your name on it. I imagine that’s why she can’t send a mass email with all the documents.

Received it 4:16pm EST. It includes several documents: Acceptance Letter, MOA, Medical Document Tracker/Drug Testing instructions, Student Health Form, and CPR schedule.

Finally got the email from Charlenne about the MOA, etc.! Looks like there's still so much to do before class starts.

I was invited, my stats for the curious: Overall GPA: 3.12 (including 2 classes I failed and retook, not sure if they count those) Science Prereq GPA: 3.25 Non-science Prereq GPA: 4.0 TEAS: 92 I was surprised by the weight of the TEAS as well, which I'm sure is what saved me. With my overall/science prereq GPA being low I really doubted I was going to get in.

Has anyone been offered the Helene Fuld Scholarship yet?

I was accepted!!! Literally crying right now omg. Just hope I can get my background check/fingerprints done tomorrow cause I’m going on vacation March 10-16!

A month ago I was super super stressed out about decisions, two days ago I was chill, and yesterday I had a sudden realization of omg tomorrow's the day and I've been a wreck ever since hahahah.

Guys I feel sick lmao. The wait is absolutely killing me.

I work at Orlando Health and a new nurse who was a new grad told me Orlando Health offered her $25/hour while Florida Hospital offered her $24/hour.

I am so excited and nervous at the same time, but I think once it’s time to interview my nerves will calm down. I feel confident in interview settings, it’s just the anticipation that’s killing me haha. When I read the email I thought it was crazy that if we’re accepted we only have a few days to accept/reject. Not even a full week!

UF, UCF, UNF! All for accelerated. But I applied to UCF's traditional BSN at Daytona/Cocoa today just in case.

I think decisions will come out the 22nd. But I remember thinking that UNF's interview invites would come out Feb 1 and I got an email about a week earlier than that and almost had a heart attack hahah so who knows!

I registered! I figured out that when I was copying and pasting the link there were unnecessary spaces in the link that made it not work so after I noticed and removed the spaces the original link worked for me. ?

I tried just now to go to the link to register the same thing happened. ? Hopefully we’ll all get an email from the coordinator with a working link soon?

So there’s an official date for the interview workshop! According to my email from Beth it’s Saturday, March 2 @ 12:00pm. Now I for sure know I can go. ?
