  1. Hi.. I have a question about VSC.. I already started to fill up the VSC online and I have the order number however i have not made any payment.. my question is.. Does the order start to countdown for 12 months before it expired or the countdown for 12 months will only start after i made the payment? Because I decided not to continue through online as there are some wrong transcription of data based on the data that i had given when the when printing.. and how can i corrct those? or shall i submit a mixed document from paper submission and online submission?
  2. Hello Everyone, Just to give an update here is the latest news about NCLEX this might affect the passing standard. This post is just to give an information for those who are planning to take NCLEX in future. The National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN®) voted on Dec. 10, 2009, to raise the passing standard for the NCLEX-RN® Examination (the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses). The new passing standard is -0.16 logits on the NCLEX-RN logistic scale, 0.05 logits higher than the previous standard of -0.21. The new passing standard will take effect on April 1, 2010, in conjunction with the "2010 NCLEX-RN® Test Plan." After consideration of all available information, the NCSBN Board of Directors determined that safe and effective entry-level RN practice requires a greater level of knowledge, skills, and abilities than was required in 2007, when NCSBN implemented the current standard. The passing standard was increased in response to changes in U.S. health care delivery and nursing practice that have resulted in the greater acuity of clients seen by entry-level RNs. The Board of Directors used multiple sources of information to guide its evaluation and discussion regarding the change in passing standard. As part of this process, NCSBN convened an expert panel of nine nurses to perform a criterion-referenced standard setting procedure. The panel's findings supported the creation of a higher passing standard. NCSBN also considered the results of national surveys of nursing professionals including nursing educators, directors of nursing in acute care settings and administrators of long-term care facilities. 3. Hi.. I know it's advisable to apply VSC thru paper submission.. I read this before I started to do online. However I have not made any payment. I already filled-up some of the details there. Now, I want to continue by paper submission. Is it possible to ignore that since I have not made any payment. Whern was the order start is it after payment (I'm taliking about the on-line)or after I start filling all the detais? Cause I worry even though I have not made any payment they will start the order which is only valid for one year. Thanks Guys..

You haven't answer my first question.. What will be the next step in case i can find an employer who can sponsor me in H1B Visa?. since I dont have anything except for the NCLEX RN passing cert (license). What will be the first step coz as you've said dont apply for visa screen until you got the sponsorship.. and I am afraid due to the long time we needed for processing everything to get the Viascreen, they might back-out.. That is the worst that might happen.. So shall I prepare for the Visa Screen or still need to wait for the employer? And pls answer the first question.. Thank you for your patience and consideration..

  16. When is you examination? On my last day before the exam, I went to the church early in the morning PRAY and talk to him that I will try my very best.. then after that I took the breakfast and bought some food and make sure that I have enough food for the whole day until the following day which is my exam day.. I read those questions topics that I think I'm having some difficulty.. My tips is to read and review your Delegation, Prioritization specially your Infection control... these topics belongs to the difficult question... Your guide that you're passing is if you encountered a question like priritization followed by SATA... SATA is your key if you got a lot of SATA no need to worry you PASS the exam... If you got all the basic nursing knowledge question it means you're not getting the right answer... But stay focus... and Pray and take your time.... God bless.. pls let me know the outcome.. and follow my advice...
  17. hi thank you for this... and i received a very strong remarked from you "bogchi2000 is wrong!" just bear in my mindthat infusion pums are aprogrammed at mls/hour.. my answer is 16.667 mls/min just multiply by 4 then you will get the mls/hour. = 67 mls/hour. sometimes we just need to clarify things and use nursing knowledge to come up with the answer.. it doesnt mean we are wrong.. thanks for the compliment neecy224... god bless
  18. Hi, you have to determine the drop factor ussually its 15 gtts/min. So it should be 17 gttsmin.. You have to devide 100ml by (1.5hrs x 4) = 16.66 or 17 gtts/min If am wrong pls let me know...
  19. Hi.. That was an excellent tip.. But just to share my experience.. I like to read, review and scan in the last minute a day before the exam even in last hour of my exam and its effective for me.. maybe it depends on the individual.. and ofcourse I agreed to eat a healthy food before the exam and Pray before you hit No. 1 question...
  20. Hi.. I just found out I passed.... Thanks for all the contributors in this thread.. I suggest to all the examiners to read from thread 1 up to the last page before you take the exam... I can only say this is a great thread... Thanks to courney who started this thread..

  25. hi, based on the assessmnt given. 88 beats for min is beow the normal cardiac rate for infant.. a normal infant cardiac rate is 130-150 beats/min.. in this case the nurse should withold the medicine and inform the doctor.
