  1. I wish I’d seen this earlier. I’d have told you to quit and do COVID testing and then vaccinations. Those of us who did made bank this past year. And with very low stress.
  2. Your story sounds like mine. I graduated May 2020 as well and I was miserable in the nurse residency program I did. I resigned, and now I am doing Peds home care which I am thoroughly enjoying!! The only stress is parents wanting things done a certain way, but that is nothing compared to the stress I experienced at the hospital. Now I wake up excited to spend the day caring for my patients.
  3. how is this question helpful to the OP?
  4. 3.0 GPA is usually the minimum most schools will accept. If I were you, I'd work as a CNA for at least 6 months so you can list that as nursing experience you have under your belt. It would also demonstrate your commitment to becoming a nurse. You can also apply to accredited for-profit schools that may allow for a little leeway as far as GPA is concerned. They may just require you to take another science class at their school to prove you are prepared to handle the nursing curriculum.Talk to counselors at the schools you applied to and ask them how they make their decisions on which applicants to accept, and ask them what you can do to increase your GPA.
  5. I've noticed a lot of CRNA programs are no longer offering masters degree programs but only doctoral programs. What is the reasoning behind this, and does this change the qualifications they expect prospective students to have?
  6. Very helpful information. I appreciate you sharing this.
