  1. I recently just got offered a job in a NICU as a new grad. I had worked as a nursing assistant in a NICU for about 2 years. I also volunteered at a different hospital and was able to spend time in their NICU. During my maternity/peds clinical I made sure that I was able to shadow in the neonatal ICU. Becoming a cuddler would be great exposure but I think working on this type of unit as a nursing assistant was what made me feel very comfortable with this patient population. I learned a lot from my coworkers there. If you still have a few years left of school don’t sweat it. Hopefully by the end of Spring covid will be more under control and you’ll be able to find a job as a nursing assistant or be able to volunteer.
  2. Yes, just got my job offer the other day. It was extremely difficult finding a job in a NICU as a new grad. I applied to NICU, peds, or PICU jobs only and was rejected from almost all of them due to not having any experience
  3. Hi, are you close to NYC? The HR recruiter at NYU Langone told me they hire new grads into their NICU and PICU
  4. Hey! Could you post the email? I called and left a voicemail on their HR number and haven't even received a call back. This was about 2 weeks ago
  5. No, mine still says submitted.
  6. That would be super helpful!
  7. Amazing, thanks for replying! I've been looking for the email but couldn't find it on their site. I'll reach out to one of the RNs I know to see if they have it ?
  8. Thanks! I've been worried because I haven't heard back and I applied on 3/30. I was planning on calling them today because I have a question about the address to use if I also want to apply to Greenwich! I'd love to do the residency as I've heard really great things!
  9. I also applied! When did you apply/hear back. Mine still says under review ?
  10. Hi, I still see the NYP residency up... not sure if they reopened it but I was thinking of applying. Did anyone add their cover letter to the app? If so which address for NYP were you using?
  11. When did you apply? I submitted mine on 9/19 but it wasn't complete until 9/26
  12. Just finished my application. I'm going to the open house on 10/13
  13. I just got my acceptance letter for UNE for Spring 2019 too. I don't know much about the program. Has anyone heard about the NCLEX pass rate? I'm waiting to hear back from two other schools that also start in January
