  1. Hi everyone, I have a question for students in the GEPN program at Yale SON. I am currently in a master's program at a public health school, and wanted to know -- are students with previous master's degrees eligible to apply for this program? Anyone started this program after completing a master's degree in another field?
  2. Yea, I already explained it in my essay. I really hope it works out because I really do want this.
  3. Sadly I can't retake it, it's really expensive for me ? In my case, my GPA and GRE are both so bad, I shouldn't even be applying tbh. But, I know this is what I want to do and will excel in. I can also explain what happened with the GPA since I have a valid explanation, but after the GRE, my chances look real bad.
  4. The GRE didn't go too well ? At least your GPA is pretty decent tho!
  5. But, was your GPA decent? In my case, it's not, but there are valid reasons that I can explain.
  6. Yes! Good luck to you for the GRE and for applying!
  7. We really are in the same boat, because I feel the same about Quant. So far, my practice tests have been terrible. But, I'm really hoping that the other parts of my application stand out to them.
  8. Hi! I'm actually in the same situation where my GPA is really bad. I will be taking the GRE this weekend but I'm not sure I'll do too well. However, I do know from reading previous threads that they want to know you as a whole person, so they look at everything, including personal statements, recommendations, and work/volunteer experience. I also think I read somewhere that they count those things more than GPA/GRE, but I'm not exactly confirmed on that. I will be applying early next month, and while it is so competitive, I'm not sure if I have a good chance mainly because of my GPA. However, make every other aspect of your application stand out!!
  9. Hey! For some reason the link isn't working when I try to click on it. I would love to participate in this blog as I am applying for 2020.
  10. Hi everyone! I'm kind of new here, so I'm still trying to navigate my way around this website. I need some help with Yale's GEPN program. Are there any accepted students I can contact directly regarding this? Thanks!!
  11. Hey Guys, I'm new to this site, and I'm not sure if I'm asking this on the right thread. But, I am interested in Yale's GEPN program. For those of you who were accepted to this program, what were your stats like? On what basis did you get accepted? There's not much information online as I've tried to check. I'll be applying for the FALL 2020 semester. Thanks!
  12. Would I still be considered if only one prerequisite is less than a B? My others are all A's.
  13. Hi Everyone! I am an undergrad who wants to apply for Columbia MDE next year. I have some questions for people who were accepted. I am expecting that my Microbiology grade (which is a prerequisite) is going to be a C. Does this eliminate my chances of applying? Thanks!
