  1. Hey Everyone! Have any FNP accepted students heard any updates on registering for classes, orientation, etc...? I've uploaded and/or sent in my Pre-Metric documents also and they have yet to be updated as "received". I've tried to contact SUNY downstate multiple times with no response. I'm wondering if any one else is having a similar situation.
  2. I was notified of the interview via email!
  3. Did you have an interview for the program? I haven’t seen “screening complete” yet..
  4. I'm sorry! Its a difficult situation and I know that due to COVID there is no one in the office so it's practically impossible to reach someone by phone to discuss, plus when you email admissions I've heard they don't give much of an answer. This interview email was one of the first updates I have heard since applying in March.
  5. March 11th I submitted the application, It was forwarded to the program for review on 3/25 and I haven't heard anything since until this morning when I was notified of the interview!
  6. I was just notified this morning that I have a virtual Interview scheduled for next week! I'm so excited to be moving along in this application process but I'm so anxious for the actual interview. Any tips/recommendations for the interview? What kind of questions should I prepare for? How long did the interview last? Thank you so much for any tips provided! Fingers crossed!
  7. Hey! I just completed my application for Fall 2021 today. I happened to realize that they extended their application deadline to April, and decided I'll apply. Reading this discussion, I've noticed people have been accepted for a few months now! I wonder if my application will be too "late" the interview/acceptance process, despite the deadline. Anyone else just recently applied? Should I expect to hear something back via email anytime soon, whether I am moving forward with the process of even if I am not? Wishing you all luck!
  8. Anyone from NY who scheduled their NCLEX?? I’m graduating in a week & will be registering/scheduling the NCLEX soon but us students graduating are hearing that it may be months before we can actually take the NCLEX due to covid-19 there is limited availability for testing so the dates are all booked until august/September. We have no idea how true this is & I’m wondering if anyone just recently scheduled their test for NY and was able to get an earlier date?

  10. Does anyone have the email address that you have to email for confirming that you're attending the nursing orientation on 12/7 for ammerman campus? I can't find the paper! Thank you guys
  11. Hi everyone! Are we not supposed to register for the nursing courses this week when priority registration begins? I want to enroll in the course and not wait until december? anyone know if that's true and why?
  12. It is at just some points it would work out easier for me to take at grant. I think I noticed that it's the semester with NUR 236 AND NUR 238 that is difficult with my work schedule. I'm hoping that we have an information session for admitted students that were supposed to attend to get more information because i'm not sure if those two courses are taken at the same time that semester or if one is the first half of the semester and then the other the second half. if that's the case it would be fine. Like i said hopefully we have a meeting or something we're supposed to attend before january. It's hard getting in contact with anyone at suffolk, you're on hold for like 45 minutes!
  13. I'm LPN to RN at Ammerman, what are you? & I agree, I was looking at the schedule and notice that at some points throughout the program I think Grant would work better for me. I spoke with admission counselor today who told me that you can only take the NUR courses at the campus you were accepted for, but may take liberal arts courses wherever. Super frustrating but makes sense, there's limited seats for lecture and clinical for the nursing courses.
  14. Does anyone know if you get accepted for Ammerman program if you can take the NUR courses at grant campus if it works better for your schedule?
  15. Hi!! Congrats on your acceptance! You have to weigh out the pros and cons and what would work best with your personal life also! My biggest worry in your situation would be if I would get accepted into the next program! Suffolk is competitive !
