Student nurse/caring for disabled individual
I agree with caliotter3, I would not take any chances that may have an impact on you further down the road. Better safe than sorry.

Charting
Uninterrupted, comfortable documentation is so much easier, more focused and faster. When I worked in LTC I had many skilled narrative notes to do. Once I gave report and counted off, I had a half and hour to do uninterrupted charting. I got more done in that 1/2 hour than I did all day. Many clients are lonely and want your attention and want to talk, God bless them, they deserve as much of your focus as you can give :-)

Is home health that bad?
I am in the same boat. Many years of LTC/Rehab as LPN, now an RN and want to move into HH, very excited! Good Luck!

I Must Be Missing Something
Sounds like the "agency" could be a big part of the problem. When family members are the administration or upper management, it can be even more difficult. Blood is thicker than water. I wouldn't give up, seems your heart is in it, maybe give it a try with a different agency. Good Luck!
