I took the work study classes for both of my electives. Super easy. The most tedious part is you have to journal every week to log your work hours. I believe you have to log 100 + hours in 5 weeks, so it really only works if youre working at least 2 days a week. I graduated last May so, of course, this could've changed since then. I had heard definitely don't take medical terminology, that it was super difficult. Research was, I think, the most time consuming of all the classes, so I would take that ny itself. But otherwise, I think it just depends on you. I worked full time throughout the program and only doubled up a few classes, but wished I had doubled up more. Definitely you can double up with the work study classs, I think I took management and one of those together.

You can take as many or as few classes as you like at a time. The nursing classes are all 5 weeks in length, except Capstone which is 7. This school works on the semester system, so each semester I took three nursing classes back to back. I only took one at a time and had a week break in between classes. I had some general Ed classes that I needed to do, and most of those were 8 weeks in length, so I'd throw one of those in to overlap on some of the nursing classes. I worked full time throughout the entire program and did not find that it was too much. Each of the classes open up on the weekend before the first day so I'd just sit down and plan it out. If I knew that I was going out of town or had a busy week coming up, I'd work ahead. One class I took during the summer and it coincided with my vacation at the lake, so I finished the entire class, except the discussion boards, in the first week so I could be done with it. It's very adaptable to life/work and very much a go at your own pace kind of program.

Vulnerable populations is not bad. It is public health nursing, but you do not have to do field hours other than your windshield survey, which is basically just driving around making observations. The first three weeks are heavy, with your big assignment due in week 3. Thanks last two weeks are light. I did not find it any harder or heavier than any of the other classes and I would definitely say it's easier than research.

Current/graduates from UTA online RN program
I'm currently in the program, about halfway through. So far, I've found it very doable. It's a lot of busy work, but I have doubled up on classes and worked full time and I have a 3.8 GPA. It's just managing your time well and staying on top of due dates. I would recommend it to anyone.

I'm halfway through the program now, and am trying to figure out what classes to take for the next two semesters. I have to do my two electives, which I was planning on doing the work co-op for, and then health policy, research, management, vulnerable populations and capstone. In addition I need to do a literature class. My plan was to do one of the electives this summer. And then do the literature class at the community college while I take health policy, the second elective and either the research or management class. My question is which class do you feel like is easier and/or less work, research or management? My plan is in the spring to do the other one of those two, and then vulnerable populations and capstone. I'm hoping to get it all done and graduate next spring.
