  1. Yay! I'm so happy to hear this. I'm in the Sept cohort as well. Thank you so much for following up.
  2. I'll be in the FNP cohort for September. Question- is there another group or place to contact current or accepted students? Posts here seem really slow and few. Thanks in advance!
  3. Good luck on your interview. I've been accepted to the September 2018 cohort. I don't remember exact questions but do remember one about what challenges in nursing have you faced... or something like that. Of course your "why" and how will you manage.... I'm sure you'll ace it!
  4. I always said that to my kids and now they are reminding me of the same quote as I begin NP school in September. You've got this!1
  5. Thanks for the information. My kids are grown so it's just hubby and I. He knows he'll be taking over most of the cooking and housework. (He's actually a better cook í ½í¹„). I currently work full time Monday through Friday and will need to continue working at least through the didactic part of the program. Any other tips would be most appreciated.
  6. I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope you find a program that works for you soon. I'm very nervous as I will need to work full time at least the first year. Anyone else with experience with the program?
  7. I meant Georgetown í ½í¸©
  8. That's the main reason I chose Feorgetown. It's the only place I've applied and may be foolish for not applying elsewhere.
  9. Hi angielocks- I live in chapel hill and have been accepted to Georgetown's fnp program for fall. They do help with clinical placement but are really expensive. I agree about the NC schools. I don't want to take the gre either.
  10. Magik01301- How soon did you get the pre-work? I'm so excited but now trying to figure out how to best pay for it. Also, do you know if there are any breaks between terms that are long enough for a vacation? Hubby and I love to travel and we're looking ahead to see if we'd be able to get away any for the next couple of years. Maybe not? I can't wait to hear more about your experience.
  11. I hope you get great news soon! Please keep me posted. It would be great to already know a classmate! Good luck!
  12. I think my application went to review the Friday before Easter or the Monday after. If so, that was 3 weeks. Hope you get great news soon!1
  13. Hi KatyturnRN - I, too, have decided to move forward with FNP school. I just received my acceptance from Georgetown on Friday. It is pricey but has a wonderful reputation and pass rate on the exam. I work full time currently so am trying to figure how best to do both as well.
  14. Juvy100 - did you get accepted? I got my acceptance email on Friday.
  15. I'm following to see the responses you get as I just got accepted for the sept 2018 cohort.
