My friend and coworker is in the DNP family. He started working full time then switched to two 12's a week to keep up with school. The program is pretty rigorous and he says its not really designed for working full time. That being said, I'm still going to try to attempt the program while working full time.

Heys guys for the DNP - Family Nurse Practitioner postB I meant to post 3 in progress NOT pending. Sorry for that mistake. In progess may mean they are still reviewing those applications or they may be standby applicants if people don't accept. The pending applications are offers for admissions that people have not accepted, deferred, or declined yet, which no one has yet. To clarify, I have been calling the pending apps acceptances since they are offers for admission.

I believe the person was told over the phone they had been accepted but then received a rejection letter. Either way, I'm still a little nervous too. I will post stats tonight.

I got accepted to the PMHNP track. I can post the stats tonight when I get to work.

Hey guys just called to inquire about the DNP decisions. I was told emails and letters will go out tomorrow.

as of: Mar 30 2018, 04:37AM PhD in Nursing: PostB (4 in-state and 3 out-of-state applicants) PhD in Nursing: PostM ( 1 in-state and 10 out-of-state applicants) There are no pending (acceptances) applications for any program, PhD or DNP. Not sure what the hold up is.

There is one post-bsn phd applicant and 5 post-msn applicants. All are out of state applicants.

I applied to the PMHNP program . I live in Charleston and have not recieved or heard anything yet. For post-bsn there are 16 in state and 9 out of state apps. Post-msn entry there are 1 in state and 2 out of state apps. No interviews for DNP applicants.

As of: Mar 9 2018, 04:31AM there are 62 in state and 39 out of state students accepted. 6 applications are still in progress. 231 Students were not offered a spot.

No changes as of: Mar 8 2018, 04:31AM. Ill check again tomorrow morning.

I hope to start a PMHNP program in the Fall. I haven't been in school in 3 years. It will be interesting to start again, but I am highly motivated to become a nurse practitioner.

Where I work if they request no male nurses, then we don't take that patient. I don't necessarily agree with it but that's how it is.

I would like to possibly work in a clinic or primary care setting in the future. I haven't seen many jobs post though since most use MA's now.

I wear Cherokee scrubs but they don't fit well at all.

I work at a Level 1 teaching hospital and we still utilize contact precautions for all patients with MRSA.

Sometimes I really wish I could quit too, but financially I could not support myself. I hope that I will find a RN job that I enjoy more and find less stressful.

I think it sounds like you have a pretty good chance. You have experience, certified, a good gpa, and volunteer experience. However, I will say there are a lot more applicants this year so it will be more competitive.

Eating healthy and exercising regularly helps me manage the stress and anxiety associated with working in the ICU and night shifts.

Just an update. Still doesn't look like they have started accepting students at of March 7th.

Yeah I hope they do, but with spring break coming up I'm not too optimistic. I applied back in October, so I have been anxiously awaiting a decision since then.
