  1. Hiii! I’m in my last semester, so N22. Send me a message with your exact Qs. This is a bit confusing. You will have some 12 hour clinicals, you will also have some 7-5 days.
  2. It worked, I just joined. ?
  3. Yes, groups are essential! Advice, don't overwhelm yourself with feeling like you need to read EVERY single chapter assigned, focus on objectives and understanding what you're reading/learning. Study groups are great, but make sure that you're using them to reinforce your learning rather then learning it for the first time. Utilize the lab and practice as much as your skills as possible.Ask Qs during seminar, record seminar, and listen during seminar. I would try to take notes throughout the whole seminar until I found myself getting behind in what was being taught. I, now, listen and jot down quick notes, and once i get home I listen to lecture and i type it out, and it has helped me tremendously. This allows me to be present 110% during seminar. What do you need to add me to your GroupMe? Feel free to ask me anything else, i'm here to help.
  4. Congratulations to all of those who are starting in the Fall. I will be starting my 2nd year, I started last Fall, and I am here to offer any guidance I can to you all. Get ready. Tighten those roller blades cause nursing school goes by soo fast, again Congrats!!
  5. Yes, those of you who got in, get your titers done ASAP! If you don't have your immunizations, you cannot register. The sooner you get them done, the better chance you have at getting your first choice clinical site. Yes, two cohorts, A&B, you chose your cohort depending on how many days a week you're on campus. Cohort A is there 4 days a week and Cohort B is there 3 days a week. Our uniforms are from a new company, Dove Apparel. They're very uncomfortable and very pricey. I paid about $350 for 2 sets and a lab coat. Your shoes have to be completely black and leather like. Also, black socks and make sure your ankles are covered when you sit down. Yes, watch with secondhand. Any color is fine, I use my apple watch. The textbooks are mostly digital since you need an online portion to do questions, called PrepU. I think I paid close to $1,000 for that bundle. You will have homework due the very first day of class, so you'll need to buy your books beforehand. You will get all of this info during bootcamp. I wish I knew how to study and prioritize. Seriously, nursing school is nothing like pre-reqs. I am a mom and a wife, and it is so hard to prioritize when I get home. Use your time wisely. Your staff is amazing and always willing to help. Enjoy your vacation!! Let me know if I can help with anything else.
  6. How are those of you who got in feeling? Any questions?
  7. I would wait, they made us suspend ours. We have a groupme instead. They're very strict. We're not allowed to be out in public in our uniforms. We're not allowed to post pictures in our uniforms on any social media platform. We can't post any RCC SON logos, so no ID nor your skills bag on social media.. and the list goes on..
  8. Congrats on getting an alternate spot, I was an alternate and I got officially accepted during take in day. So don't worry!! Many people end up going other places, some people don't email back within the time frame, the list goes on. Just make sure you reply to Steve saying that you accept your spot as an alternate and then go from there.
  9. Congrats to those of you who got in! And if you didn't get in, try again! I'm starting my second semester in the Spring, so let me know if you have any questions.
  10. I didn't have any of those problems, but I know that they only take your first passing score for the TEAS, so if you re-take it and get a higher score, they won't count it. It sucks, I know. I am on the alternate list at 68 points, have you taken any of the NXN courses? Anything else you can take to boost your points? Don't loose hope!
  11. Where will you be going??
  12. My name is Elianna Cerda on FB.
  13. Someone start a FB for this cohort!!
  14. Yes please! Count me in!!
  15. What is boot camp?? Haha.
