  1. I know several people are waiting for the results from UT Health, so I am sure there will be few spots opening once those results are out.
  2. I've attended an information session before - they will give you the standard answer to your question.
  3. I actually took the winter minimester in Spring 2018 to get my nutrition requirement out of the way. That was at Lone Star college. It was an online class that lasted three weeks. It was not bad at all! I would totally recommend it.
  4. Would you please explain in more details how to get those credits wiped? What kind of form did you have to fill out?
  5. This is just insane. I am starting my ABSN program in January and I am troubled by this. Talking about oversaturation of nursing field with nurses...
  6. Let me know if you get accepted! I live in Atascosita so we could organize a car pool.
  7. Thank you! Here is a free copy from Center for Health and Security
  8. I recommend you read this paper - "Decision Processes and Determinants of Hospital Evacuation and Shelter-in-Place During Hurricane Sandy". The decision to evacuate is not taken lightly and is influenced by various factors.
  9. Well if all the hospitals shut down and bail, where will the paramedics going to deliver their patients?
  10. Nope, everything works like a clock on my end.
  11. Overall GPA (or any GPA and stats) is not shown in UTMB MyStar. However, in NursingCAS, once you submit your application and after it is verified, you will have a complete brake down of your GPA by semester, overall, science, non-science, etc.
  12. Go ahead and do the fingerprints. Because this is BON thing, once you get them done, you will be good for any nursing school (at least in Texas) going forward.
  13. They do not look at sub-scores like conclusions or understanding.
  14. Hey, I was able to get accepted into a competitive ABSN program with a 3.2 overall GPA. Nothing is impossible. Make sure you do well on TEAS or HESI, apply to several schools, and write a strong personal statement.
  15. In that case, just wait until they send you an invite for an interview. I think right now they are just finishing up with Spring 2019 applicants.
  16. Yes, I applied and was placed on the waiting list.
  17. Are you applying for Spring 2019 or Summer 2019?
  18. Have you received an email from UTMB with invitation for interview? To schedule an interview, you must call the provided contact in the email that you received from UTMB. In the email, you will have several time slots to pick from.
  19. Go to Facebook --> Groups --> Search for UTMB Nursing - Spring 2019. There are 58 members right now.
  20. Congrats to those who are getting accepted! Please make sure to join our Facebook UTMB group :)
  21. Not sure about Nursing school since I will be starting a ABSN this coming Spring. However, I found that in general (in my experience going through another tough bachelors degree, working, and life) exercising is very helpful tool for me for managing stress. This can be a light jog, walk with a dog, going to a gym or even yoga!
  22. Did they write your new login username? This will also be your email address. So, if the user name is janedoe then the email will be [email protected]. You can access the email from utmb.edu in the top right corner.
  23. I got my letter this weekend. I was officially accepted on July 18 so that's about 10 days difference.
  24. They don't look at the scores for the subdivisions, only the overall and the individual for each section. I had the same problem with 'conclusions'.
