I realize this is an old thread, but I am wondering if the Air Force HPSP for nuses will cover a Direct Entry program (RN-MSN bridge program)? Tried contacting the lists HPSP recruiter and he has not replied to any of my VM or emails. Any info would be great!

Feel free to ask questions in the FB page :) as for areas to live, I live in the South Shore (Quincy) and rent has been climbing over the past few years. It's pretty easy to commute in to Simmons using the T, but if you're moving to Boston, get ready to pay a lot for rent :/ feel free to reach out to me on FB if you have anymore questions

I have a friend in the program and she seems to be enjoying her time there. The only complaint she had was administration, the steep tuition bill, along with some of her clinical placements. She's just entering her 3rd year and NP classes. She likes her cohort and the classes are very easy, but she felt the preparation for NCLEX was not sufficient. Hope this helps! I was admitted around December and made the impulsive decision to drop the deposit just in case I wouldn't get in to other schools. I ended up being admitted to a number of programs and will probably be sending an email to Regis admissions telling them I won't be going anymore-the tuition is just too much for me.

Hey catlobog! I was thinking of going as well, but I wasn't sure how much more informative it would from the website. Also I didnt receive anything yesterday...I'm hoping today will be the day. Fingers crossed!

Allisonnn317: I live in Boston and did not receive a letter yesterday, though I did get that Admission Decision Email sent on Friday. I'm hoping to receive something after work today and the wait is killing me. I'll keep everyone posted! Also, the email did say "sending admission decisions out in the mail today through next week" which means maybe a few letters are being sent out later this week? UGH, I may be reading too much in to it.

Hi Mjc2005! I am also waiting to hear back from Northeastern's Direct Entry Program and I also applied for the FNP track. If you scroll up to look at the previous posts, all of us who have applied for the FNP track have not heard from Northeastern at all. I'm assuming that there were probably too many applications that they are still sifting through them? Not sure. I'm also anxiously waiting to hear back from Simmons College any time now, so Northeastern is kind of on the back-burner for me

I know it's Monday and only 3 days has passed since the last post, but I frequently find myself checking my phone or my email while at work just anxiously waiting to hear some good news from Simmons! Anyone else in the same boat? LOL Thus far, I've only heard back from one school. Anyone else been accepted elsewhere?

Hello again, Balanurse22! I think the waitlist works like most other waitlists where they email you the final word around summer time when most students have responded to their admission letters. Best of luck to you!

Hey again! I applied to Northeastern and MGH, but I missed the deadline for BC I don't know the size of Simmons cohort, but I can't imagine anymore than 50 people maybe? Does anyone else know? I couldn't wait and emailed Simmons--they said they've started preliminary application checks, but we won't hear back till mid-January. Also, I know this is not a Regis discussion thread, but I just received an invite to a Meet and Greet on January 19th. I'll have to miss work but I'm leaning towards going. How about you?

Hi CL0724! So happy to hear there are other Regis Accepted students too! Are you planning to submit the deposit for Regis? What is your first choice school? I am torn between Regis and Simmons-both schools definitely have their strengths and weaknesses but for me, Simmons is closer and Regis would be a hike to commute to. Also thank you for clarifying/answering my question. I was wondering how all these students from the previous year were able to check their statuses-now it makes perfect sense!

Hi everyone! I also applied to the Simmons Direct Entry program for Fall 2018. I am super excited but NursingCAS was a pain to work with! I was looking at other threads and noticed that some people were able to view when "decisions were mailed" through some form of portal--would that be through NursingCAS? JW! I've already been accepted into Regis Accelerated BSN/MSN program but Simmons is my first choice! A decision would be great since Regis wants a deposit by January

Hi! I was accepted into the Regis program as well for Fall 2018. While I am super excited, I am also distraught as I have applied to a number of other schools and will not hear from them until after the January 3rd deposit deadline. Has anyone clarified the preceptorship question that the first poster asked? Additionally, if we do put down a deposit, can we easily withdraw our spots after the fact? I may have to do that if I hear back from my number 1 school :/ Melodeeya, how were you able to schedule an appointment with the admissions counselor? Did you email him to ask for a tour?
