  1. St. David's 2021 Residency

Thank you! Sorry forgot to check back for answers until now! ? Does anyone that's already working remember what the first several weeks of immersion were like? Mon-Fri? or weekends thrown in right away? I'll be in L&D.
  2. St. David's 2021 Residency

Hi All! I will be starting with St. David in July! Ahhhhh! L&D! I was wondering when we could expect to get our physical and drug testing done....I want to take a little trip before starting full time but don’t want to miss deadlines for those...
  3. Just an FYI...Don't forget drug tests are due tomorrow!
  4. Oh dang! I'm sorry to hear that! Glad she is recovering and doing better. That definitely helps me be more patient. How did you find this out?
  5. I'm CEC, and haven't gotten anything yet either. Also I noticed the EVC and RR calendars were posted but CEC hasn't posted one. If we're similar we don't do our dosage exam until Wed and then our 1105 skills check off until Friday. Which makes me a l...
  6. I will be going to CEC! ? Have you submitted all your castlebranch stuff? That is due Aug 1st.
  7. Emails have been sent out! I got CEC the campus I wanted. How about ya'll?
  8. Nursing Website says that the emails with placement and next instructions will be sent out on Tuesday 21st not today. So we have to wait until tomorrow!
  9. Yup, that's the one I'm hoping for!
  10. I got mine at 2:10 this afternoon!!!!!! YAY!!!
  11. Who said that? I would just go off what the Nursing Page says about the 2nd week, and then probably add a week or two since ranking was delayed. ? None of the girls from my skills class (1st half of spring) have gotten acceptance letters.
  12. The ACC Nursing Page says: "Acceptance letters are sent to each applicant in order of rank until all available seats in the class are filled." So those that scored the highest will receive emails first, doesn't matter if it's your first or second tim...
  13. Sadly, it doesn't mean anything except you submitted an application. They put everyone through the motions and the only thing that means you get accepted is the actual acceptance letter. I got the email too, I did read that they are sending out ranki...
  14. Still haven't received either letter, but I'm pretty sure you either get accepted or a ranking showing where you're at. But I don't know for sure!
  15. You need scrubs, don't have to be teal, and closed toe shoes. You won't need any other supplies for skills, those will be provided. Possibly a watch when you get to vital signs...but we haven't started that module yet!
  16. You are required to read all of the power points and readings before class and we go over it VERY briefly in class and then the rest is practice and lab. It's a skills class, so HEAVY on the acting out the skills. It's not a hard class, just have to ...
  17. I was in the same boat as you! The best advice I can give is look up where you would want to go to school and get their list of required vaccines. They will have a document or list of vaccines you have to prove you've had. I started getting my vaccin...
  18. I'm taking Skills at Cypress and so far really like both instructors. They both teach at Round Rock for the program. There are a lot of people in my class that live South, but had to end up taking this class cause it was the only one available.
  19. Pharm was a lot of fun, but hard work too! I used this Study Guide and also some of ACC's resources online. HESI Admission Assessment. My advice is to take the HESI as early as they will let you and as soon as you are prepared, so you can retake an...
  20. Austin Community College ADN Spring 2020

Well the nursing program classes are only at EVC, RRC, and CEC. Cypress does have the Skills class though.
  21. Austin Community College ADN Spring 2020

I took all of my pre-reqs at Cypress ACC, and loved all of my professors. I still haven't decided which campus I want to go to, it's between CEC and Round Rock. But ultimately I'll take what I can get!! You don't need a ton of time to study for the H...
  22. Austin Community College ADN Spring 2020

Just took the HESI yesterday and applied for Fall '19 and let me offer a little advice, if you don't mind. Start getting everything in order as soon as possible. All of your castle branch can be done before the application period even opens. Get eve...
  23. ACC Fall 2019 Applicants

I spoke with the nursing advisor yesterday and the first round of petitions for Nursing Skills went out to people that applied in the beginning of the application period, not just reapplicants. I didn't realize until too late that I could have taken ...
  24. Congrats to you all doing so well on the HESI!!! I plan on studying all next week, before I take it on the 17th....been focusing on my last pre-req. tests! Which campus are y'all hoping to attend? I'm probably going to list Round Rock as my preferenc...
  25. How did the HESI go? I am also trying to apply for Fall 2019. I will be finishing my last two pre-reqs in the middle of December and taking the HESI on the 17th, the day before the application period ends. I'm hoping they will still let me apply, sin...
