  1. I don't know but I would think everyone would be contacted and accepted offers because the residency begins Monday next week
  2. Rady Children's post their application quarterly each year and you can find the posting (when it's available) on their job website just search "rady jobs" and you should be able to find it. They changed their website therefore they do not have detailed information about the new grad program any longer. But it's best to just check daily just like all hospitals may post new grad jobs at anytime.
  3. @ ignisviridae, BSN that generally means you will be getting a call for an interview
  4. Anyone on here get an offer and accepted the offer? I'll be on Medical/Pulm and excited to meet everyone!
  5. Correct, they hold interviews off-site at an office building
  6. I also received an invitation to interview for Scripps Mercy New Grad RN residency today :)
  7. No I am an external candidate. :)
  8. I also received an email for a background check but nothing for an interview yet
  9. My status changed to Under Hiring Manager Review on Friday
  10. Awesome Salsacat! I wish you the best that's a unique unit, I often am a sitter there.. And thank you!!
  11. Hey everyone, I received an offer for Medical/Pulm today! Couldn't be more stoked. Has anyone received offers in Medical/Pulm or other units!?!
  12. Has anyone on here interviewed for Medical/Pulm?
  13. Yes, Mine says Under Consideration. Has anyone received an invitation to interview yet?
  14. Congratulations dabear68! That's so exciting. Yeah that makes sense that in some unit they are separate and others are together. :)
  15. Perhaps the units have different ways. Idk. For surgical, is there a 2nd "peer/ staff " interview?
  16. Hey I'm internal, and when I first got hired, I had to have 5 references fill out their online survey. I can't remember if it was before or after the job offer.
  17. Nice! Was NICU your first choice? I just assumed because of your posting name:)
  18. I applied again yesterday. It doesn't hurt :)
  19. My status has not changed, it still says "under consideration" even though it was updated yesterday 1/15 Yourself?
  20. Although it would be a perfect world to know in advance when Kaiser opens up their new grad "inexperienced" RN app, I doubt we will ever know. It is one of the hospitals where you have to check every day, possibly multiple times per day. Like said earlier, the application will post at odd times for a very short period. It's a grind looking for job postings and there are no free handouts. Put in the time!
  21. There were 7 stations with 2-4 managers, educators, etc per station. I wouldn't go as far to it being "laid-back". Some were easier to talk to than others. Be prepared to tell them why you want to work for Palomar multiple times.
  22. Yay Salsacat, congratulations! That is just SO weird about the status thing. Don't lose hope, I've heard of waiting 4-6 months to get a call before! haha
  23. Hey Chocolatebuns, I'm not sure where you're located but don't lose hope. Have you looked at smaller hospitals, rather than the big most popular ones? For example, Paradise Valley Hospital in San Diego offers almost all of their RN positions for new grads but it is not a new grad program. I do know that they will train you, but do not know the extensiveness of education part like other new grad programs or if they even do classroom type learning. Perhaps it is not your "dream job" but it can catapult you into your career of choice. Do you check job postings with every hospital you are interested in every day? It might sound like overkill, but some like Kaiser, only have their posting up for a bit. Be the first to apply. Perhaps your resume and cover letter need a revamp? Do you currently work or volunteer? Perhaps highlight those skills for the time between graduation and looking for a job. Good luck :)
  24. I have an interview scheduled with Medical/ Pulm this week and heard others with interviews from NICU, CVICU, Surgical, this week or last. No status change.
  25. I haven't heard anything either. I will give the benefit of a doubt that it has been holiday season for the past month, and the program doesn't start until mid March. I am hoping this week they will begin contacting for interviews. *trying to stay positive!*
