  1. Clinicals are offered at Regional Medical Center, Santa Clara Valley Med, Kaiser, O Connor, Saint Louise, Good Samaritan, and the VA. Each semester depends on where you're placed but so far I have been at Regional, SCVMC, and I am supposed to rotate through Kaiser this semester. As for the bridge BSN program, there is a short form you have to submit but there are no requirements. The program leader just tells you not to join the bridge program if you are struggling in the EVC classes because the EVC program comes first. In our 4th semester the program leader helps us apply to the actual RN-BSN program and as far as I know there isn't a specific GPA requirement, you're just required to have all of your transfer requirement classes.
  2. Hi there!! Honestly I was very conflicted when I first got into EVC because I felt like my education wouldn't be as advanced as a CSU. EVC ended up being the only nursing program I was accepted into so I just went with the flow and decided to go to EVC. A year and a half later and I'm in my third semester and I am SO THANKFUL I ended up at EVC. I feel so prepared at clinical, have developed lasting friendships, and just feel like my knowledge base is very strong. I have encountered students from SJSU at clinical, and in their 4th semester they do not have the confidence or knowledge that I feel that our 3rd semester students possess. I am currently in the bridge program and it consists of 1 class in 3rd semester and 1 class in 4th semester. After graduating from EVC you have 3 more semesters (1.5 years) so it would be a grand total of 3.5 years. However, I have heard that beginning next year, EVC may join SJSU and begin the cohort program during the 1st semester of EVC which would likely shave off the time needed to get your BSN after getting your ADN. I hope this answered some of your questions!!
  3. I'm in Santa Clara county and all classes have been moved online and today we were informed that ALL clinical hours have been cancelled until further notice. This seriously has me freaking out and hoping my semester isn't jeopardized at this point...
  4. Hey Everyone!! Congrats to everyone that got in! I'm in first semester now and it's awesome! Let me know if any of you have questions. ?
  5. Hi there!! Sorry for getting back so late. I'm currently attending EVC's program. I was denied to all other programs. Good luck to you!! EVC has been amazing thus far.
  6. Hi there! First off, congrats that's a great score! Secondly, yes I was an EVC student before applying.
  7. Looking at the school calendar, the first day of the Spring 2019 semester begins on January 28th. I'm assuming that's our first day of class.
  8. If I remember correctly, Adrienne said she would override any reds if they are inputted correctly. I wouldn't worry too much since she said that she would email us if there is anything we need to fix. :)
  9. Hi RKMaini! :) Yes, the pending yellow sign is totally normal. Adrienne won't go onto the complio website until June 30th and clear all of the yellows to greens. Hope this helps!

  11. Online on the evc nursing website are slides that breakdown the total costs. http://www.evc.edu/AcademicAffairs/Documents/Nursing%20Information%20Workshop-%20Updated%202.21.18.pdf The total costs for both years is $4,503.00. However, if you receive financial aid, it is much less.
  12. I contacted her earlier today and she said that we will know by the 27th!
  13. Btw, I am so excited to meet you all at our Immunization workshop on the 20th!!! :)
  14. Yeah I know but I also am having major FOMO hahaha! I really don't think that I will get into SJSU because of my stats, but part of me kinda wants to go there if I got in. I'm honestly praying I don't get accepted to SJSU at all so it takes it completely out of the equation for me.
  15. I'm not sure what to do. Part of me wants to go straight for my BSN yet another part of me wants to save and go to EVC. I feel so conflicted! I won't hear from SJSU until the end of the month.
  16. It all depends on what kind of financial aid I would qualify for... I just received an email for EVC. I was placed in Spring 2019. Any news for you guys!?
  17. Hi Everyone! I got an email from SJSU regarding intent to enroll and that the fees are due by May 1st. My question is what if we don't find out for SJSU's nursing program until after May 1st? Do we still need to pay the 250$ intent to enroll fee??
  18. I haven't heard anything yet, however I did get another confirmation for my TEAS scores again this week and Adrienne said she would follow up with next steps by the end of the week. I'm also waiting on SJSU and I got an email wanting an enrollment fee. The waiting game is so tough!
  19. I think it was sent/received fairly quickly. I think you'll be okay.
  20. Hi RKMaini, First off congrats!! Secondly, you just need to send it to the EVC option. I would also email her to let her know you sent the scores. I just checked my e-mail and I sent it directly to EVC. :)
  21. I'm so sorry to hear that! Make sure that you reach out to Adrienne so she knows that you're still taking the exam. The calculator was all on the computer, not an actual calculator. Best of luck to you!!
  22. Hi all, Still nothing yet. The latest email said we will hear in early April which cycle we begin. I'm super nervous and excited!
  23. GPA: 3.75 TEAS: 84.7 Impaction Score: 6.57 Good luck everyone!! :)
  24. You are very welcome. :) Yes the Reading portion is definitely the most difficult section of the test. However, if you know that isn't your strong point, don't dwell on it too much since you can enhance your score with other portions of the test. Worst case scenario, bubble in what you think is most right and then go back to that question after going through them all. You've got this! :)
