  1. Which specialty did you apply for? I haven't heard anything for midwifery yet.
  2. Anyone hear anything yet?
  3. Hey! Haven't heard anything yet. I really hope we will today though, I'm squirming over here haha.
  4. Oh man, that is such a long time to wait!! Yeah, I heard midwifery takes 2-3. Such low odds
  5. I applied for nurse-midwifery! I reached out to Sandy. She said we should hear after the first of the year about interviews/decisions
  6. Hi there! I applied for the MSN program too! Have you heard anything back yet? Such a stressful waiting process. Which specialty did you apply for?
  7. Hi! I know this is a SUPER late response, but hopefully an answer will still be helpful. I took several of my prerequisites online (Microbiology with lab, statistics, and human development). It was not a problem with my application at all. Many of my classmates also took online prerequisites and they were totally fine!
  8. Hi! The program has been pretty good so far. It's very challenging, but we are learning so much so fast! I know that's really vague... Do you have any specific questions? I believe there are around 211 of us in this year's MDE cohort. From what I've heard about half of those will go on to do the DNP program, half will go to work as RNs!
  9. Update: I spoke with Sandy about midwifery admissions, and she said all of the accepted applicants accepted their offer, so at this time there has been no movement on the waitlist.
  10. Still nothing??
  11. Still nothing?
  12. Has anyone on the waitlist heard anything?
  13. Anyone on the midwifery waitlist hear back yet?
  14. Is that for tuition or for all costs? I did not attend the webinar, so it's good to have that info.. thanks!
  15. I think this is not quite right. When I added it up, it came out to closer to $177k total, but I could be wrong. The two semesters are for a paid residency, meaning you wont be paying tuition during that time, from what I can tell. Does anyone else have any further insight? It is a little frustrating that the financial aid email only included MDE costs. Nowhere on the website can I find an exact cost, only number of units (40 total for DNP) and the per unit cost. That's how I came to my estimate.

  17. Has anyone else not heard from Columbia about financial aid/scholarships yet? I know a lot of people did, but I haven't yet.
  18. Congratulations! What did you do during your extra year?
  19. Out of curiosity, why are you leaning toward Columbia? I am also midwifery, and also got in to Columbia, but don't know much about it yet.
  20. Waitlisted for midwifery/women's health. Who else? Anyone know anything about the waitlist?
  21. Has anyone on the waitlist been accepted yet?
  22. Anyone know how big the Midwifery class is?
  23. Hey all, I just gave up my spot for Women's Health after getting an acceptance at a different school. Hopefully that opens up a spot for someone on the waitlist! Best of luck next year everyone!
  24. Accepted to the MDE/DNP for Midwifery!!! Should we make a facebook page for admitted students? Congrats to everyone who got in!
  25. Hey everyone. I didn't know the applications were rolling, so I submitted mine on December 31st. I am really hoping that doesn't hinder my chances. Does anyone know how many applications they recieve each year, and how many are admitted?
