  1. Thanks Mermaid! Forever Grateful...how do you like the program? :) Jen
  2. Hi Mermaid, I was planning on applying for Spring 2019, but I mistakenly signed up for the wrong Anatomy Class (duh!) and now find myself having lost a semester or pre-requisites. I'm frustrated. I'm thinking of taking Anatomy through UC Berkeley Extension even though it's quite expensive. They offer the lecture part of the class online and the lab as an in person class (I guess this is called a hybrid class). Do you happen to know if CCSF will accept this? Where did you do your pre-reqs? Good luck! Jen
  3. Hi All, I'm starting this thread for folks who are looking for an online statistics class, as I was a few months ago. I hope it is helpful! I am in my 3rd week of University of Rochester's online statistics course, which is given through the School of Nursing's online prerequisite program. So far I'm finding the class challenging but not impossible. I like the textbook because it's written specifically for nurses so all of the lessons and examples feel relevant and useful. The professor posts helpful videos in addition to assigning info from the book. Your final grade is the average of all of your weekly quiz grades. There are no exams. I got an A on my first quiz and a B+ on my second. The quizzes are hard but fair. The cost of the class is about $1100.00. Not inexpensive, but I'm pleased with my choice. Good luck all of you! Jen
  4. I am currently taking my nutrition pre-req online through the University of Rochester. There's lots of material to cover and lots of memorization, but the info is really interesting and the textbook is very readable and relevant (definitely designed for a nursing student). Your final grade depends on your weekly quiz grades. So far I have an A. The course isn't cheap (roughly 1k) but i'm really pleased and definitely recommend it.
  5. Hi All, I currently have a BA in psychology and am looking to change careers, to nursing. I need to be able to work part time while I am in school, but it appears that all of the BSN programs in my area (SF Bay) are full time. Does anyone know of any part time or hybrid (online classes with clinical work at a local hospital) BSN programs in or around San Francisco? Thanks so much, Jen
