I'm a non traditional student. I was researching programs that were DEMSN and online. I came across Bay Path University DEMSN. I'm curious to know if someone knows anyone who is currently in the program or are you in the program? I'd like to hear your feedback so far.

Unfortunately, I cannot attend because I was in a previous program in 2018. Instead of getting a W I got a WF. So I have to find another program to go in to that would work well with and that is online.

I would be interested to know how the first few weeks go. I am looking to start in the fall. If you do not mind up dating your thoughts and what your experience is like.

I applied to the cohort starting in April of 2019.

Hi peeps, I am currently in the process of finishing up my DABSN application for Emory Univ. But I have received an email for an interview here soon. I am wondering if there are other people out there considering this program as well. If so, you are more than welcomed to share. Also if you are applying for the Spring semester of April 2019 I would love if we could chat since there is a possibility we may be in the same program together. For those who got accepted this fall and started in September would you all be willing to give feedback to those who are applying for the next cohort sessions to give us an idea. It would be very helpful though I know I would fully grasp the feeling of it until in the program. Thanks.

I have been researching this school and I think I want to do it, but it frighten me since this is the first cohort. I think it will be an exciting experience, but something totally different than what anyone is use to.

Hey everyone, I am currently applying to a variety of ABSN programs, which are located in Mississippi, Tennesse, and Alabama. Out of six schools, two of them require a personal statement. I have something, but I believe it could be a lot better. Let me know what you all think. When we consider the definition of a nurse in a dictionary, we will find a description of one who cares for a person who is sick. However, reality dictates that there is more into this field than what is described in a dictionary. As we may know being a nurse is a very rewarding and influential profession. Those who pursue nursing with a passion understand that they are not only caring for a sick person but someone's family member. Nurses do not just care for patients, but they are the patient advocate. It is the nurse's responsibility to help prevent diseases, promote health, and work towards educating the public. I completely understand that nursing is the one field which is rightly concerned with caring for a patient. However, it is very important for nurses to be strong, compassionate, empathetic, and thoughtful. All of these qualities reflect on how to provide holistic care for your patient in their most vulnerable moments. I strongly believe that I firmly belong to this field because since I was a young child, I had no other desire but to become a good influence in the lives of other people. I have always felt the need to take care of someone because first and foremost, I know that I have the choice, and the power to do so. I have seen at first-hand different people who are living in poverty. From where I grew up, too visiting another country and seeing that they would receive their next case of medication in the next two week or months. I understand that the work of a becoming a nurse and living as one is difficult. However, at the end of the day, I know that I would feel a different kind of fulfillment knowing that I am able to help those who cannot care for themselves.

Hello all, I just received my acceptance letter for an ASN program that starts in the Spring semester what are some general things you may have dealt with while being in nursing school or are currently dealing with. I know all programs are different so I am not expecting any of the same feedback. Also, what is normally expected on the orientation for nursing school?
