  1. Yeah I ended up emailing her a second time and she responded back and said she did mark me down the first time. I know she’s out of the office now too. I’m sure it’s okay!
  2. Ahh, yeah, I emailed her yesterday and I did not get an email back. If she doesn't reply by tomorrow morning/afternoon I'll give her a call and also send her an email.
  3. I got my acceptance email too! Can't wait to meet the rest of you. Did you guys email Jorja and Diane back that you wanted to accept the offer? I did and they did not reply so I don't know if I should call or..
  4. I was rejected last year with no invitation to the proctored at all.... Guys!!! I was invited to the proctored this year!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE and for those who don't get invited, my advice is to keep trying! @NICURN2020
  5. The week is finally here!! I hope everyone has a great week and it ends even better by getting called in to do the proctored. The last month really flew by!! Good luck everyone :)
  6. @taylorr13 I'm pretty sure they all go out on the 16th by 5 pm and not before that
  7. I'm pretty sure it all goes out on the 16th by 5 pm, not before that!
  8. Good luck everyone!! The waiting game begins! I hope everyone gets called for the proctored!! :)
  9. From my understanding you had to have everything submitted by the deadline of 1/16 at 5 pm, including the letter of rec
  10. Hey! Does your letter of rec have to be from an RN? My supervisor is an ER technician. And yeah can you go over briefly how your app looked the first time vs. the second time when you got accepted?
  11. I know they highly prefer it from a RN i've heard!
  12. Hi! I'm applying for the UW BSN for next fall. This is my second time applying to the program and I really want to get in! I thought I would start a discussion so we can all help each other out since the application comes out this month and the essay questions are already out! A little about myself: -When I applied for this fall my nursing prerequisite gpa was a 3.0 and I retook one class and I believe now it is a 3.2 which isn't that great but they accept anywhere from a 2.4-4.0 for this fall so I am not too worried about that. -When I applied for this fall I only had 120 healthcare experience hours and when I apply for next year I'll have well over 1,500. -I'm also doing a study abroad program in maternal and child health in December before the app is due and this year i managed to get a job at Mary Bridge Children's hospital and recently got hired at Seattle Children's. I also got certified in neonatal resuscitation. Thanks all! I can't wait to hear back and get some advice!
  13. Hi! I'm applying for the UW BSN for next fall. I unfortunately was rejected to start this year and I was not called back for the proctored. I just needed some advice from those that have been accepted and what they did to make them stand out, what gpa standing did you have, how well written was your personal statement, how many healthcare experience hours you had, etc. When I applied for this fall my nursing prerequisite gpa was a 3.1 and I retook once class and I believe now it is a 3.3/3.4 When I applied for this fall I only had 120 healthcare experience hours and when I apply for next year I'll have well over 1,500+ That being said my letter of recommendation was from someone that only knew me for 2 months so I'm assuming it was pretty basic and honestly I have a really really really hard time writing so my personal statement was probably not so good. I'm also doing a study abroad program in maternal and child health in India in December before the app is due and this year i managed to get a job at Mary Bridge Children's hospital and recently got hired at Seattle Children's. i also got certified in neonatal resuscitation. I would love some feedback and i hope all your first quarter of nursing school is going well!
