Can't find a job! No job opportunities!
This seems like the logical approach. Take the Job you can get, and then make moves to get a better one.

RN OR LPN ??help!!
I think you should be realistic. You are a Mom and no matter how strong the support system is at home, you'll still have mom duties. IMO you should take the Faster route NOW, and get it done. 1yr flies by. 2yrs no. You can get your LPN and then jump into an RN speed track program somewhere after 1 yr of experience (check into it...they offer it at many schools). In the meantime, you'll have your foot in the door of a hospital that may pay for some or all of your RN education. (my 2 cents).

Low salary same work
Look on indeed and see what the ratings from 'all' workers. That's not a bad starting pay and you'll move up fast if you are good (imo).

I'm a nurse and I don't like people.
I'VE got to speak 'Frankly' (and maybe if i'm wrong someone will straighten me out---PLEASE). The definition of extrovert (someone who gains energy from being around people) and introvert (someone who looses energy from being around people) is LARGELY based on 'their setting?' Am i Right or Wrong??? Sales people (who work all day, trying to sell something to someone who needs their product), gain energy from selling their products to people who buy from them. They are extroverted. Nurses who work in 'high intensity' and 'personal' settings are drained more than likely because of the 'stress level' they experience (life and death situations each and every day). Is it possible that 'the intensity' of the setting turns an EXTROVERT turn into and INTROVERT? I'm an extrovert (i think), but after reading this Thread, i'm wondering how i'm gonna REACT to being in an intense ENVIRONMENT (hospital / nursing home / etc).???? Dayum...this is really making me think HARD about this field??? Can anyone give some more constructive input on this???? NOTE: After experiencing long days at work, i want to go home and veg out. (no matter what kinda work i'm doing). I don't know if that makes me an introvert or NOT. I always thought i was an EXTROVERT.

Eating the patients' food?
At least everyone is being honest. If i'm starving and the patient won't eat the food, i guess i'll eat it. ITS GOING in the Trash, so someone should eat it (it would be a shame). Give that food to the homeless or the 'poor workers' who work their a** off for low wages.

Cna incident investigation
Jesus....this is a Hard Job! (s/he gets charged with a felony)? Poor Girl/guy (s/he made a mistake, but being charged with a felony (i think that would be more along the lines of 'intentional' neglect). S/he's probably young and was tired and NEEDED a break. S/he was told 'everything is ok' take a break. *its not like she pushed the patient to the floor. Tough job being a CNA !

LV, NV (US) LPN student: How much do make monthly?
Appreciate that FN...but that thread is very old. 2013 looks like last comment. Where are you located? I think which part of the country you are located in makes a big difference.

I Thought I Had My Dream Job, but My Past Took It Away...
Sorry to hear about situation. You came this far, and you'll go on (is what you have to tell yourself). Self-love, taking care of yourself and you family right now. There are "no perfect human beings" so don't be hard on yourself. Just be upfront about everything from now on. There's nothing to be ashamed of. If i were you, i would apply for another position "directly" and avoid agencies. Perhaps a Senior Assisted Living Facility or a Hospital? Not sure what town you work in, but if its worth it, consider driving a little distance for your next job. Its not easy...nothing in life is easy. Keep working on you and something good will open up (have faith).
