SFSU FALL 2019 BSN
Hi! level 3 BSN here and congratulations on getting this far in your nursing journey! As for the concerns of the program, there are some occurrences of disorganization happening (from what I've seen mainly with scheduling and last minute professors) but this is true of all programs to an extent. But all of this has been resolved and never deeply impacts our learning. We went to clinicals with no delays and our professors are seasoned educators who place students first. There are always spots and classes available for the nursing students, so rest assured you'll always have a seat! As mentioned above, SFSU has many weekly volunteering opportunities in the city and surrounding bay area doing many tasks (health screens/clinics, education, fundraising, flu shots, etc) with many patient populations. One thing I do like about our program is the diversity of our student body. We really do get everyone from all backgrounds and all ages so it brings so much to the classroom. SFSU is well-known for an active student body and nurses recognize this and appreciate what we do in clinical, in community, and in patient care. I also appreciate how everyone is vetted through the interviews and everyone in the cohort lifts each other up (nursing school is tough!). There are no more "A-list" personalities that you might encounter in pre-nursing, but everyone you go to class with is truly amazing, friendly, intelligent, and are there for the same reason as you. So you can be rest assured you'll have a whole group of supporters and friends. I hope this helps alleviates your fear about our program. I am happy to answer questions, good luck!

has anyone else had problems with registering because the SoN hasn't changed our majors yet? (If you chose an alternative major)

Just to make sure, I haven't gotten the MMR vaccine since 2001. Do I have to get it again and then wait to get the titer done?

sorry for the weird question, but what's the bean counter?

SFSU BSN spring 2018
No problem ^^ I checked and it says I have no pending applications at this time, but it said that for over a year. I'm an ongoing sfsu student and not a transfer I don't know if it makes a difference

SFSU BSN spring 2018
Hi! I'm not quite sure, I believe the $100 nonrefundable fee is for admission into the university. I didn't have to pay a fee yet for accepting the nursing offer, but I wouldn't lose hope and wait for their email!

I remember reading they would notify us of decisions between 15-22. So I really hope it's before the holidays *^*

Congrats! Is RN to BSN track the same as traditional BSN track or is it a separate one?

You're allowed to park at the campus garages (remember to buy a day pass at the meters) or if you find street parking. I'm not sure if we have to bring anything it wasn't specified Goodluck to everyone!

I emailed them to ask when we would hear back and they replied "Interview emails have been sent out already. If you did not receive one, your application is still under review. Please expect to hear back from us with our admissions decision by mid-November." I hope we all get one!
