Has anyone went through a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Residency at the VA? If so what was your impression of the experience? Were you able to secure a job through the VA by the end of the 1- year residency?

Hey there!! I am a prospective student applying this cycle. How was the interview process there? How long was your interview? What type of questions were asked? Also how long did it take you find out you were accepted? How long did they give you to make a decision? There is another residency in Florida as well (Orlando). If you know anything about that one please shed some light as well. Thank you!

Actually Health Informatics is related more to Nursing Informatics..Health IT not medical records-- thats MS in Health Administration

I don't have an MSN but a masters degree. Are there any programs geared towards that? Or would I have to start over again and get another masters? I want to practice in the south eastern part of the US.

Hello I currently have a MS in Health Informatics and a BSN, RN. I wanted to know if there are any bridge programs out there where I can skip some coursework because of my masters and dive into the MSN, DNP for family nurse practitioner or obtain a certificate in nursing for that? I am hoping to go the nurse practitioner route and I wanted to figure out the most cost effective way to do so in the shortest amount of time....Any help is appreciated!!!

Would someone like to share their stats: GPA/GRE? I am looking to apply for the next cycle. How many applications did they receive and how many people gain acceptance? Do they award scholarships to the best students? How much nursing experience does the average student have? Was there an interview? Also, do they help you set up clinical rotations in the area? Do they help you find a job placement after the degree?
