  1. Submitted on July 16th, went to program review on July 17th. Haven't heard back at all but last year was contacted after 3 days for an interview. Am I out?
  2. join the Facebook group!! it's Duke Nurse Residency 2018
  3. No! She has strung me along since April, but just keeps asking for my milestones. I just passed the NCLEX and she still is like "oh idk!! I'll keep trying!!" It's been frustrating as all get out.
  4. I HAVE CATHY lol
  5. hey guys, just made an FB group for duke nurse residency 2018. thought it'd be a nice to ask questions and be able to contact each other. feel free to join! It's called Duke Nurse Residency 2018.
  6. YOOO. the HR person I've been emailing back and forth with told me to call her back on 6/8 too. Wonder what this special date is?? I went to UNC, and have been contacting them trying to get an interview for months, or even just find out what positions are available. No one can tell me anything, but they don't flat out reject me either. It's...frustrating. They just keep telling me to email them every time I meet a milestone, aka when I graduated this may, when I signed up for the NCLEX, when I passed.
  7. How soon can this be tried after taking the exam?
  8. Where is this website with updates??
  9. Has anyone heard anything about interviews for the spring 2018 new grads?? I've followed up with HR a couple of times and she's currently "updating the team"
  10. Hi! my email is [email protected], I don't want to deal with the drive either
  11. Hi!! It's [email protected], I don't want to deal with the drive either
  12. Anyone looked into **affordable** housing near the hospital?
  13. Thank you so much! No one else could tell me this, I just started applying for everything!
  14. Do you know what the new grad positions are labeled as? Like "clinical nurse I" "new grad" etc? Because I can online find positions that need experience
  15. Cannot find the application anywhere and have been looking for months! Does it even exist?
  16. It is! so it would be worth me applying this fall to possible getting accepted next summer/ fall for a program? Or get the experience of one year first and apply next summer/fall. Most of the places I've looked at have application due dates in October/ November and matriculation in the following August.
  17. I'm a recently graduated BSN student. I just got hired at a reputable level one trauma center in an ICU and it's part of their new grad residency program. Does this first year of nursing count in the ICU experience years?? I had someone tell me it would not since residency/ first year program aren't fully "on your own" yet, but I would love to apply to CRNA school as early as I can just to give it a shot
  18. Hello all! So I am a new grad graduating from a nice program. I shadowed a CRNA in high school and knew that was what I wanted to do with nursing, and now that I am graduating with my BSN that is still my ultimate goal. I have been lucky enough to get more than one ICU offer as a new grad and it's looking good but have a few questions. So all the ICU positions I have been offered are part of new grad residency programs or new grad fellowships that last a year. I was wondering does this year count in the 1-2 years of experience needed to apply for CRNA school? I had a friend tell me that it did not, but I wanted to check with the community.
  19. Hello all! So I am a new grad graduating from a nice program. I shadowed a CRNA in high school and knew that was what I wanted to do with nursing, and now that I am graduating with my BSN that is still my ultimate goal. I have been lucky enough to get more than one ICU offer, and I am wondering which one is best. The first is a Surgical Trauma ICU (Which I know is a top type of unit for CRNA school). However, it's not a teaching hospital, and the name is not well known. Only reason I mention that is because I would like to go up north to Philly or NYC for for CRNA school, and I was wondering if hospital name recognition is a thing. The second is a Neuro ICU at one of the best hospitals in the country. It is a teaching hospital and recognizable, but I have heard some people say Neuro ICU experience isn't the best for CRNA school experience.
  20. Would any NYU nurses be willing to share their biweekly pay check? I'm making a budget planning sheet and comparing a couple employment opportunities and also trying to figure out what kind of rent I would be able to afford if I end up getting NYU
  21. I knew we had a phone call before I submitted my application, I was an extern last summer and kept in contact with my HR person. wouldn't stress though, basically she asked me about my experience, why I wanted to work at NYU and that they wouldn't officially interview me until I have at least scheduled my NCLEX...can't do that until graduation in mid may. And didn't give me a date for an interview either. Still don't fully understand the purpose of the call. I was told to call them back come then.
  22. NOt just the ED application, I'm actually interested in critical care and wanted the general residency application
  23. Hey all, I'm from Chapel Hill NC and have been looking for this application. I'm so clueless. Does anyone know when/if it will open back up again??
