Got a nurse aide fired... did I do the right thing?
It's tough because most likely the word is gonna get around that you took a picture of her sleeping and sent it in to your supervisor. So now workers might think twice about what they do around you. Yes, she deserved to get fired for being asleep, but me pesonally, i woulda woke her up and had a loooooooong talk with her. Just my .02

Got Accepted into BOTH ADN and BSN Programs
Go for the adn. Im pretty sure cost is a factor for you so im guessing you already know the adn program is best for you right now. Yes it is longer but its more financially responsible for you to not got into more debt. Plus you can work at the same time. School is important, but if you have other responsibilities such as rent, food, and other bills, these also need to be considered when making your decision. Ask yourself, do you wanna owe 100k when you finish school? Im in the philly area and the adn programs are HARDER to get into than the bsn programs. So if you got a chance to become an RN for cheaper....TAKE IT! When you finish, do a bridge program and you should be done in no time.

I don't think you can post teachers names in here, but i know a few people who took him and they said he was alright. They said he is a good teacher, he just doesn't like repeating himself after he explained the topic.

They should of got back to you. Check your degree path. If nothing has changed, check your mail and make sure you didn't miss a letter. If nothing, comtact the counselor in the nursing department to see if they can help. With 8pts, you should get in if there is enough spots.

Help with nursing school direction!
Do your prerequisites at a community college and you will save thousands. It seems like you need a few so i would go that route. If the CC has an adn program, i would apply there along with a absn orbsn program. Good luck...keep ur gpa up too.

Best private student loans for large amounts?
Im in the same boat as you kinda. I was accepted into a private bsn program and an adn program at a community college. The adn program is two years and the bsn program is 2.5 years. I chose the adn program mainly because of the debt load which was roughly 60k for the bsn and 6k for the adn program. My advice to you is to go the cheaper route if you can. You don't want 120k hanging over your head before applying to CRNA school. With that kind of debt, it restricts you from doing things you WANT to do, instead you will be doing things you HAVE to do. Do not go in debt just to save a couple years...Its not worth it. Yea, you can be making money in that extra time you saved, but you will owe more. Besides, don't you think 120k for only two years is too much??

Montgomery County Community College Nursing Question
1. Most programs offer nursing courses in the fall and spring with summer off (for the nursing classes). Most likely this is how mccc is doing it. Im attending ccp in the fall and this is how they do it. 2. The program is two years, so no matter how fast you wanna do it, you can only take the nursing classes in fall and spring one at a time. So if you have four nursing classes (nurs1, nurs2, nurs3, nurs4) you have to complete one before going to the next. So the shortest amount of time is four semesters. Since you probably cant take the nursing courses in the summer, they will only be available in the fall/spring. So you will have fall/spring, fall/spring or vice versa. Trust me, it sucks because i only have to take four nursing classes and it's gonna take me two years to do four classes. But you will save alot of money if you get in. Hope this helps.

Is 35 too old to start from Scratch?
No way you're too old. If you wanna be a nurse, just do it. But i would suggest finding the best way without racking up alot of debt.

Stuck between two programs. Need help!!!
A little about myself Well i have decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in nursing. When I re-enrolled back into school this past summer 2016, my GPA was a 2.8 .....My counselors, and co-workers all told me that I should consider another profession because I would not get into a nursing program because in the Philadelphia area, there is too much competition. Feeling down and out, I didn't listen to them and went on with my education in hopes of at least trying to get accepted into a program. Well, since i have been back to school, I have taken A&P 1-2, Micro, Nutrition, Statistics, and Public Speaking at a local community college. I have received an A in all of the classes and raised my GPA up to a 3.35, not too shabby. I have applied for a BSN and ADN program took the Kaplan entrance exam, scored a 79, and I was accepted into both. Both schools from what I hear were highly competitive and i am just blessed to be accepted and I am just full of joy and very humbled. My problem is that I really don't know what program I should chose. Both of them have their pros and cons and I'm asking for you guys advice on what program you think i should chose. First is the ADN program. The pros it is cheaper, I only have to take the nursing classes which are one (7) credit course per semester for 4 semesters. Highly respected ADN program. Total of two years to complete the program. I probably will have more time to work while going to school (I know its not recommended to work full time, but I believe I can do it because i don't have any kids, no major responsibilities and i'm only taking one course per semester). The Cons I have to pay out of pocket, no more financial aid offered. It will be around $2400 a semester including books/uniforms. I'm gonna have to do a rn-bsn program anyway. I will be in school at least 3-3.5 years total if i want to go for my BSN. Now the BSN program The Pros I will be done with my BSN in 2.5 years (one stop shop), highly respected program, awarded a partial scholarship, waived about five classes that I would of had to take but now i don't, I will have all of the books for every class for free. Even the recommended but not necessary books. Staff seems like they will bend over backwards for me. It is almost around the same time frame for the ADN degree. The Cons The program is more expensive (will cost around 35k for whole program after scholarship). A really expensive program. Not much time to work. But still will be able to pay my priority bills. Pretty much that sums it up. Either way, I know my future looks bright. I am a hard worker and I strongly believe that I will be successful in either program because I really want this....ALOT lol. I just wanted to know.... what you guys would chose? and why? Thanks for reading this.

CCP Nursing 2017
The bsn program does cost more, but i will be done. Im already paying outta pocket for my ccp classes because i cant get any financial aid. But if i choose ccp, i will only have to take the nursing classes because i have everything else. So one (7) credit course a semester. It will be around 2k outta pocket each semester. My big concern is that the rn-bsn programs I'm looking at want a min of 30-45 credits there which is like another year or two. btw, i am considering the cost but i did get a partial scholarship for the bsn program. I don't have kids but i know ccp is a good program as well. Geez im still not sure what im gonna do. I am a very indecisive person.
